Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The Real Art of CARS
Not only appearing LIVE in person at Atlanta this weekend, Martin Arriola will also hand you over this magnificent “Best Friends” watercolor of Lightning McQueen & Mater.
One of a kind as in ONE available worldwide.
Original.
@14″ by 17″ – I know it’s hard to tell the size from here on the website – but think about the SCREAMING BANSHEE with Mater from last year – about that size.
Sorry to mar Martin’s beautiful painting with our watermark but didn’t really want someone just to lift it and misrepresent it …
As with any true art, it is alive with personality.
It’s available this Friday at the Hotlanta Diecast Show starting at 8pm Eastern.
Proceeds benefit the UCLA Children’s Hospital.
There is a streaming feed of the auction at: http://www.dealitlive.com/catalog/toys—hobbies-diecast-toy-vehicles-/show/100135.html
But you cannot bid online unfortunately.
So, if you are not at Atlanta and want to bid, email Traver at Children’s Toy Closet and he can help you place a bid.
Bid early and bid often!

I live in Atlanta and now I have to go out of town leaving on Friday! UGH! I would have loved to go down there for this!! UGH!!! MAYBE I can get out of it!!
Ladies & Gentlecars,
Thanks so much for the nice words as that really means a lot to me. I really gtten away from my Fine Art as this crazy place has me drained by the time I get home.
Our Mattel/Disney/Cars Line continues to perform but there’s always something, this is late, change this, change that, no back to where it wa the first time…….. :0
But hey, it’s the Toy bitness. Think I’d be used to it after 27 years here at Mattel. It felt good doing this piece this past weekend because it reminded me of what I am. An Artist. Anyway, it’s for a great cause, helping sick children.
Funny comments on making prints and selling them but that would be violating the Cars license. It belongs to Disney/Pixar, I’d be led of the Hotel in handcuffs. 🙂
I was told one of a kind Fine Art Painting for Charity, no problem. Prints for sale…….LUCY!!!!!!!
(MET: just do as I do, name them Rust-Soa and sell them in exotic lands 🙂 JUST KIDDING! ).
WOW!!! The painting is WONDERFUL!! 😀 Wish I could go to Hotlanta and see it in person!!
Um I just meant prints for sale to Take5’ers…….It’ll be our little secret………
Beautiful work!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Boom! Studios contacted you to do some cover art on their Cars series. I know it would increase sale for ’em …
Very nice work. Maybe it is time to make that over due visit to my friends down in Hotlanta. Now how to get there and back before my wife, 4 yo and 2 month old notice.
ummmm hon, we are out of bread, I’ll be right back!!
In my dreams, you be doing something similar for SDCC and I will get to bid!
I agree, that would be awesome!!!!
this is fantastic!! I would love to have it! i totally agree that you should make more prints!! you could totally sell those easy! 🙂 great work, seriously!
Martin, that is WONDERFUL…you never cease to amaze me…. wish it was hanging on MY wall!! AWESOME!! You are such a generous soul… may the Manufacturer bless you greatly!
Ladies & Gentlecars,
Hope you like this piece, I will proabably won’t even be able to give it away, but let’s see if we can rub two sheckles together in order to help out some kids.
Good CarsMa, Yes?
It’s a decent sized piece, approx. 14″x17″ on 350 lb. Arches Hot pressed, no streching needed. Hope it shows up in Atlanta as out I mailed it out UPS Air today. Yikes……………LUCY………….
Hopefully we’ll get some Mattel/Disney/Pixar fans there that day and I don’t have to buy this painting myself 🙂
I Will if the price is right. Free.
Go Mattel/Disney/Pixar/Cars!
What a kidder. You should get these professionally printed, like a limited lithograph, and sign them. You could sell 500 easy and still sell the original for the same amount.
Speaking of the “art of cars” I have that book and it is awesome.
I wood definitely buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I were rich, I would offer you and the hospital kids many thousands of dollars for your early masterpiece.
If I were rich back in October, 2008, that CAAF Darth Mater
would have been mine; 10 G’s: CHICKENFEED!
Dang! I am only one Powerball ticket away.
Or if my new book sells well and becomes a best seller:
CONFESSIONS OF A TOY HUNTER.
That painting is ABSOLUTELY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHSOME!!! In watercolor no less!! Not very easy to work with………beautiful (sigh)
Another great initiative for helping kids. Bravo!
Now that is classy! I would LOVE to have that as part of my collection… beautiful Martin!!!
That should help out the UCLA Children’s Hospital quite a bit!
Good stuff all around!
