why cant the cars have the ACTUAL hub caps?
With spinners!!
I’m sure Mattel would explain that it’s because of the “pin” that they use for the front axle…….no way to assemble it without that exposed pin hole……on top of that, an actual cap over that would be considered a choking hazard. Just my thoughts regarding why the hubcap designs are so limited.
The title of this post reminds me of when Sally says in the movie “You scared me, scaring you, scaring me” (or whatever it is she says, I am horrible with movie quotes).
awww, i want the flashback cars!!!!
thems so much classier than the delinquent roadhazards of today!

Hey Rainman, you forgot Halloween Hank!!
That horrible feeling came over me this morning as I was laying in bed. I’m sorry!!! 🙂
I was able to find 2 Miltons because Walmart stocked like 5 G cases! He goes so much faster than any other casting; it’s incredible! And he is such a sweet car.
I LOVE the older model Cars! Milton was painted in a beautiful shade of blue. I actually like all the different colored Ramones too. Especially Retro Ramone.
Sort of a related topic, well maybe not really, but Mattel celebrated Barbie’s 50th Anniversary by reproducting vintage Barbies from different eras. They remade the first Barbie from 1959 as well as the ones from 1961, 1967, 1971, 1977 and 1986. Although I grew up with the 70’s Barbies, I prefer the vintage ones from the 50’s and 60’s.
It’s a lot of fun to see some of these retro toys again. I remember seeing a bunch from Fisher-Price that I grew up with at Target. They were offered during the time when the movie “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium” was playing. Of course I stood in front of the display playing with all the toys for about an hour until my kids finally pulled my away saying “Mom…it’s time to stop playing with the toys and go!” 🙂
I believe PirateDad is into older Barbie as well — BARBIE BENTON!!
A living Doll!
To tie the whole thing together, Barbie the doll, Cars and barbie Benton!

googling for “showgirls” eh PD?
I refuse to comment about googling showgirls..it is beneath me! 🙂
Hey! Barbie Benton stole that look from the original Barbie!

WOW that is exactly the same..does it come in an 1:1 scale version too?
YES, but then it becomes easier to see the mustache and under arm hair!!
Hmmm…maybe a blow up version? 😉
Oh wait…silly me. You meant the outfit not the doll right?
NO NEED FOR THAT KIND OF VISUAL!!
D’oh!
Wish I could find a Milton!
I found mine yesterday at Bartell Drugs but I had to pay $4.12 for it. I broke down because he was the last casting needed. Bartell also had Andrea hanging there. Nice to known your local drug store has a better assortment that WM, which is down the road! 🙁
I have found probably 15 Case G’s here in Iowa and my husband found about the same amount in Albuquerque, NM but neither of us has found a Milton! I did that online complaint thing to WM and the manager called me back about 2 days later. He said that they got a new shipment in and he saw about 6 “new” cars that weren’t there yesterday. I had already been there that morning so my reply was, “I know you got 1 new case in and I am pretty sure your stockers got all the new cars in that case and have them on Ebay already!” I think he was a little stunned by my answer so I explained to him about the Chase cars and how some cases only have 1 of a new model. He said he would do some checking. I am sure I won’t hear from him again but I felt better after venting a little!
Good for you!
The guy sounded all cocky when he was telling me they got in a new shipment. I don’t think 1 case counts as a shipment.
Ah, but WM looks at a case as “18” on an order. My nearest WM toy manager gave me a heads up on an order coming recently….”We have 54 coming in on a truck in a couple of days.” I explained to him that there are 18 in a case currently, 24 in upcoming cases.
He then figured out that he had 3 cases coming, all on his own!!!
Bet he had a calculator on his desk!
I’ll still be laughing at your post tomorrow at this time!! Thank you very much. Laughter IS the best medicine! And PD, your addition was perfect for another *snort*.
haha, theres a story behind Edwin Kranks stripes. If you go to carstoys.co.uk they show in the showroom a little info on each character.
His friends did it to him as a joke (when he was sleeping or something) and he never painted it back!
Did you notice that Frank and Milton have the same license plate number? 2769. At first, I thought the metal part of Frank and Milton came from the same mold, the only difference being the plastic front grill piece. But then I noticed that the chrome trim on the side of Milton is different than the chrome trim on the side of Frank. The difference is not simply paint because the chrome trim is actually raised above the surface. Milton’s chrome dips down at the back end. My favorite part of these older (mature?) cars are the wheels and hubcaps. I’m old enough to remember cars with whitewalls and painted rims.
Do you mean Edwin Kranks? Or are you just trying to CONEfuse a tired Pirate? It;s not hard to do!
Actually I think he’s talking about Major League Baseball players Frank Thomas and Milton Bradley.
I thought he was referring to Milton Bradley and Parker Brothers.
not first and proud of it!
1st… Cute, but I still can not find a Milton. Keep finding the other new releases.
I type too slow. Not 1st
I guess there are a lot of people up at 5:35am!
Still haven’t found Milton in stores… Great Car
Yeah, gotta catch ‘m all !!!
Oh wait, thats a different series right ?
I mean: FIRST !!! 🙂
