What about the Prince red corvette song
How about My Mother, The Car? she was a 1928 Porter. It was about a guy whose mother’s ghost inhabited the car.
Then there’s Pink Cadillac, by Bruce Springsteen.

YAY! Kraftwerk! Not very fond of that song, but in general the band is/was excellent!
Perhaps add Depeche Mode’s “Behind the Wheel”? Or “500” by Lush (The song is about the Fiat 500, the same model as Luigi.)

How about “shut up and drive”.
“Racing in the Street” by the Boss is the ultimate car song. “Black Cars” and “Lake Shore Drive” are a couple more of my favorite cruising songs.

I put on Route 66 and my son ran upstairs to get his sweatshirt we just bought in Flagstaff on Route 66. It of course says “Get Your Kicks on Route 66”!
Looks like I will have to come up my list 🙂

@iamspeed: I know that, you know that. Tell imeem that! Also, there were several songs I looked for in there that they didn’t have in their database. Erg. I still plan on updating with another list sometime soon just to see what the heck else is in there.

I think your referring to piece o’ something Car. don’t think its quite appropriate. I still like it reminds me of my buddy’s car back in high school.
DUDES!!! My Mother in law called the car I drove my new bride in “Dung-Char” Which means exactly that!!!
It was my Grand Prix full of pride – Half baked with white pom-poms, and I insisted on drivin’ my new bride in my “Wheels” without shame!!!
That thing had ten different shades of primer on it and well… Fit for a Queen I guess!!!

Thanks, TakeFivers! It was fun trying to remember some of those old tunes. @Ed – I debated about that one. I actually removed four others and didn’t want to get carried away. I will update this at some point or maybe just select an entirely separate list.
