Thanks to Nathaniel S. Binns (Darth N8er), I now have a new favorite Piston Cup racer …
Yea, I think you can guess the new bestest Piston Cup racer …
An amazing creation by Nathaniel S. Binns! It’s perfect from every angle!
And just so you know, I did nothing (as usual 😉 ) – all did was send him the T5 logo and the robot graphic and a few days later, he designed it from front to back, top to bottom and then created it all by hand (including applying all the decals)!
Like the other artists who visit our site and show off their works, they can just see how to bring a blank canvas to life. Nathaniel literally started with a blank CAR and brought to life. It takes real talent to not only visualize it as an artist but to have the technical skills and attention to detail to bring it to life – great stuff!
AND I’m not sure the photos can do justice to his technical skills – this thing is smooth as butter, no lumps, no bumps and everything looks just perfect.
Again, the entire design motif of the racer plus colors are all Nathaniel’s original design, all I did was send him some logos and while I was napping … voila!
BRILLIANT!
And for long time readers, they know what the TWO & the FIVE are for. 🙂

Some of you might remember his customs from his “hello TakeFive” intro post a few weeks back. Nathaniel offered to do a TakeFiveADay Piston Cup racer … and I replied back in .9 seconds …
Thanks again, Nathaniel – brilliant and amazing on a design-level, AND on a technical skill level. Not only an artist but a craftsman! Amazingly Great!
Nathaniel also notes, “Both of my sons want one, they think it is cool. My 7 year old is already making request one what other ones to do.”

I got my Take5 racer today and I LOOOOOOVE it! My favorite piece in my collection by far. His attention to detail is amazing – everything is perfect. Thank you so much DarthM8tr (Nathaniel)! And I can’t believe how fast he is – and how generous to do this for everyone. Big Round of applause for Nathaniel – you are the best!!!! 😀

I really wish I could do customs. I will have to try it one day, but I am contacting Nathaniel first! I love the design, colors, numbers, its all good. A hauler and 6 pitties is a must. Wally would be a prime suspect for a new paint job. Good work!

Will these be released in the all new California Speedway Series 2, or in a Launcher set?
What a nice racer, so one down and 6 more racers to go. How many hours go into making nice customs like this?
It takes about 4-5 days. Theres alot of time watching paint dry. As of time, I really haven’t time it yet. This is a new hobby for me and only have gotten 4 done. The most time consuming part is design the decals.
