PayPal is Not Always Your Pal …
Surprise, PayPal is not always your pal …
Guy uses Paypal debit card for $26 dollars of gas. PayPal charges him $81 BILLION on his account and when he calls, they question him on what the problem is and maybe he’s just trying to weasel out of a legitimate transaction … maybe you literally not figuratively drive a tanker?
And eBay wonders why people be hating on them and Paypal 😉
So, if you use a PayPal debit card, be sure to keep your receipts …
the sad part of this story is the part about GM losing more than 80 billion since 2005, and our government is still handing out money to them . Just let em go already.
But then your avatar will slowly fade away as he runs out of spare parts…..
I once receiced a $6,000,000.00 Union Gas bill for my shop, but at least they laughed when I called them and was told I had just beat them to the call, since about 100 customers got that bill…I still have it somewhere, too funny to throw out!
(MET: I got a $70k bill from the hospital … guess they were just hoping I forgot I had insurance and would just pay it out of petty cash :-/ ).
Wow, I am so greatful for Universal Health Care!!
Yeah, I’ve had problems with PayPal before, and the representatives aren’t always helpful….
This is some what comical only because the representative would not believe him! That is just insane. I hate saving receipts and use my Paypal debit card all the time… so I suppose its time to start saving them.
I get the spoof emails all the time too. They get pretty crafty, making it look really legit. Watch out!!
Is that the price of gas these days?
Or does he drive Metroplex?!?!?
Isnt there a website called paypalsucks.com or something like that?
Yesterday I got a phishing warning about an email I got from PayPal telling me my account was being limited and I needed to go to a link and update my information. weird. I have always been leery of having a link to my bank account, so I never have done that, just to a credit card.
Hi Lorri,
Any time you get anything like that it is not from PayPal. I get spoof emails all the time with things like that. It’s usually some foreign website trying to steal your info. If you forward the emails to spoof@paypal.com PayPal will work with authorities to shut it down.
The same goes for eBay, except you forward the email to spoof@ebay.com.
THANKS
Hey Thanks, I just forwarded it. I didnt do anything with it, cuz of the phishing warning. But it looked pretty real!
Wow, where’d you get this info? I use my PayPal Debit Card all the time.
(MET: Click on link to read full story).
I agree to that! (the keeping of receipts). 😀
Good to know!!!!!!!!! Thanks Met!!!!!!!!
