Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mainline G Case Shipping Next Week
Leaving Mattel’s warehouse next week – so you might see it at the tail end of next week on the shelves or early the following week.
NEW – Andrea & Milton.
First ever CHASE CAR that is the exact same as the regular CAR release other than the packaging (presumably) – we’ll know more next week.
More Damaged King & Chuck Manifold so hopefully these two will be easier to find.
For card completists, the first appearance of Lightning Ramone on ROR.
And of course, more Lightning McQueen’s with the corrected back decal on the spoiler.

Scored Impound Wingo on the pegs today at Target YEAH! They had what looked like at least 3-4 Case F’s on the pegs, but just one Impound Wingo. Multiples of Chuck and Nitroade pittys (none smiling).
Nice Score! The TGTs here in WA have lot of Hank Halloween and Greta + 1 or 2 race damaged King…. Guess it’s better than nothing…
I was out over the weekend and had a great deal of success. Picked up Hank Murphy, Chuck Manifold and Impound Wingo at Target and then found what appeared to be a whole case full of Night Vision McQueen at Walmart along with the Wally Hauler. There were easily 2 dozen Night Vision McQueens on the pegs and each had a 2009 booklet of cars in the packaging. (Sorry I didn’t take any photos) In looking over the booklet, I noticed 2 cars being released as CHASE that looked identical to a previous release. The first was Ferrari F430 and the other is Kori Turbowitz. Not sure if this is new info, but this posting mentioned unknown Chase cars from a previous release to I thought I’d share.
Finally, made it to the Mattel toy store yesterday. All I can say is HUGE dissapointment. Had 10 total Cars items on the shelf, and 5 were the large plastic LS McQueen. The reason I bring it up, is because the toy store is attached to the Mattel Distribution warehouse(which looked roughly 20,000 sq ft). I wonder if they had any case G sitting inside.
I shoulda snuck in and got a peek.
The non-Cars side was a little better. They are celebrating Barbie’s 50th birthday this week, so they had 40% off all Barbie dolls including the Gold and Platinum ones.
Batman shadowtek were $2 each. I picked up a Green Lantern. He is my favorite DC character. But they had bins full of the entire line.
Are these not already shipping ? Have seen some on eBay already in hand.
I am trying understand the travel these cases go through. Please when you spot a new case, call out.
Thanks Mattel! You’re not Swell! Another seven various McQueens to populate the already leftover McQueen peg warmers. Do your representatives ever report back to your the number of McQueens that are still around from the prior cases. All my retailers are awash with them. It would hurt to just forget about McQueen for several cases. The World of Cars will not miss them, and, I’m certain any new collector or kid new to Cars will be able to find them.
While you’re at it, why don’t you just forget about the launchers and package those Cars as single blisters. Nobody really is buying them, as seen by the overabundance of WOC carded stock on the shelves.

I found the leftovers of this case today in spencer ia at walmart. the first new cars i have seen in 3 weeks. The only car left was lighting ramone
How would you know it’s leftovers from Case G? Unless you found Andrea, Milton, Chuki (kanji) or Lightning Ramone, everything else has been out already. And it seems doubtful that those would be the ones “left”. Since this post states that case G ships next week, it would seem doubtful that you’ve already found it in the wild. But, I guess it’s possible.
Met, I agree that hopefully it will be easier to find RD King, but Chuck Manifold? He was easy to find, in large numbers. All the stores I check had plenty. Chase Wingo and RD King, different story. And now that Case G is coming out, Chase Wingo is going to be even harder to find.
Lastly, enough with Tumbleweed MQ. He’s turning out to be like Green Ramone. He’s everywhere, in big numbers. The more pegwarmers that keep getting put up, the slower the new releases make it out. Once enough of this case G gets put out, it seems like it might be awhile before most stores will sell through enough to stock another case.
I’ve noted the same about Tumbleweed McQueen.
I didn’t expect him to become the next Bug Mouth McQueen.
I think Ramone needs to go into hiding as well. I think it would be the best thing that could be done. Stop shipping Ramone, so then that’ll build up some demand for him, and then when he’s re-released 3-4 cases down the line, he’ll be a needed vehicle.

I almost wish all of the “additional releases” would go into hiding for a year or so. I appreciate the different Ramones because in the movie, he did change his color, but enough is enough. Producing models based on expressions seems like it ultimately just drags things on and on. Since they now have characters coming out based on the books, this has really become an endless line. All they have to do is write a new story and create new characters. So they can stop with the 20 different LM, and all the different Ramones etc… Bring out the new characters.. my son is dying for Otto and Gudmund. We read “Night Vision / A Day at the Races book every night and he can’t wait for them to come out. These are the characters that are exciting him now. Race damaged King is still pretty exciting and my son plays with him a lot, but there are some that he’s just not that into, like Chuck Manifold. Oh, he loves Greta and Hank.
Lighting Ramone was on the ROR card that hasn’t been released until case G.

I was thinking opposite. Same car, slightly different card. Doesn’t sound like much of a chase.
I am looking forward to the upcoming Sarge and Hudson Hornet ones though. They sound cool.
