SIGNIN NAME? MiaSeniorita

BIO? I am a 26 yo mom of two.  Lance is 3 and loves movies… especially cars!  Alexis is 1 and loves to steal the cars from her brother to make him mad.  It is quite a spectacle!  We live in Montana and love it, except for the complete lack of Cars inventory.  We open most of the cars, but some I get two of to keep for myself 🙂  Oh, and I have an addiction to emoticons 🙂 😉 !  The photo is of me with my 4 older sisters, one of which is a great photographer.. which is where the photos of my kids come from.

WHEN DID YOU START?
Right after the movie came out.  Grandma got Lance a car for his birthday.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST CAR YOU GOT?
Lightning McQueen, who else?

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
He got a couple of others that day too.

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
After we opened them and starting playing with them, I knew Hot Wheels wouldn’t cut it.  These cars are so much better, cuter, stronger, faster… so I was glad when I realized we would only have to buy 15-20 cars to have the set instead of trying to get 1000 Hot Wheels … Little did I know we would still be collecting clear into 2009!

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
Well, I am an organizer and collector by genetics, so it was destined to be.  Sometime early last year I started to make a spreadsheet to keep track of what we had and what we needed.  Once you have a list, you must check all the boxes!  That is when I discovered this site, trying to get a complete list of cars released.  Thank you MET, I think….

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY :-) ).
Whoever has the WalMart from “Don’t you wish your Wal-Mart was a Freak like Me”  … that just cannot be real.  Photoshopped for sure!  If I walked into my WalMart and saw that I would have to say, “Punch Me Guido!”

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
Top on the list are Tex, Todd the Pizza Truck, and any Mater Tall Tales car!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
Damaged King, BluRay McQueen, Sidewall Shine, SDCC Lightning Storm McQueen, Newest Haulers & Launchers… I can send the excel sheet if need be 😉 Oh and a decent storage/display case for all of these darn cars.  I need a proper way to preserve this half crazy investment!

Well, I really love 3 things: Animation/movies, music (I don’t play it I just listen to it… lol) and humor. And of course Cars.  I really like trinkets (lava lamps are my favorite) and I never leave my house without my wallet, watch, cell phone and View MP3 player.  I’m a little OCD in that way.  I have a girlfriend and am old enough to drive, but don’t.  =P  I like cartoons alot and hope to be an animator, which explains my love for Pixar.

WHEN DID YOU START?
March 2007 at Disney World.  Funny thing is, I always knew I’d like cars, and the minute I heard of it I thought “That must generate alot of diecast collectors”…  Never in a million years did I think I’d be one!

HOW LONG BEFORE YOU HAD CAR #2?
Literally 2 minutes later when I decided to turn around and buy a Cruisin’ McQueen and Sally 2-pack…  Hahaha.

WHEN DID YOU DECIDE/REALIZE YOU NEEDED MORE THAN ONE?
When I saw the back of my Mater card. =)

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU HAD TO GO BIG INTO THIS THING?
When I vowed only to collect my favorite cars and realized that they were all my favorite.  I remember saying, “OK…  I guess I’m collecting them all.”…  Hahaha!  I was always an opener one-of-everything, but now I’m buying two of each Walmart/Kmart Collector’s Day Exclusives and Chase cars, one to open and one to keep in package.  So now begins the stage where I hopefully (don’t) decide to be a completist (for the sake of my wallet)!

WHAT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT COLLECTING THESE CARS? (NEVER YOU, SOME OTHER PERSON’S CRAZY STORY :-) ).
Well, I think that Cars don’t belong in the Walmart Garden Center for one, heh, heh!  Another is that I brought my mom and brother to the Kmart event.  They drew names according to who was going to open a case first, and first my Mom was called, then me, then my brother, out of about 25 other names!  We got 3 of each Kmart exclusive there plus 3 chase Freds, and two posters.  However, I gave one poster to a little 3-yr-old boy who wanted it and was saying, “Wightning McKeen”. He was too cute.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE CAR?
The list is so long.  I like Mater, Trunk Fresh, Bruiser, Wedding Day Ramone, HTB hauler, and any SDCC exclusive…  And that’s just the beginning of the list… Heh, heh, heh.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION?
Well I really want all 36 launchers, even though I have all of them up to Trunk Fresh.  The HTB hauler looks awesome, too.  But I’d have to say a Mater the Greater diecast holds this position right now.

My first car was actually Lightning McQueen the original.
I decided to collect them since i first saw the movie told my wife as soon as these cars are out im getiing them im a car fanatic.
Im waiting for all the cars.
