Disney Pixar CARS: Can’t Wait for Lego CARS? Brick Your Own!
While there are no actual plans for a Lego CARS line (there will be Duplo line in 2010), Jay M. sent along a link to a Mack custom created by “vslcheung.”
You can check out the rest of the photos HERE. Very impressive … I can barely build a set WITH instructions …

If someone wanted to customize a Lego Frank, this set would be a good way to start:

Holy Shoot!
That is impressive.
SWEET!!!
That looks awesome! Wonder if he’ll do lightning storm Mcqueen. LOL Nice really nice.
Are Duplo the same size as the Mega Blocks? I wonder if my kids will still have interest in them by the time the Cars Duplo hit the market. We build all sorts of stuff with the MB; the boys really love them. Well actually my son Ethan just likes to take everything apart that we put together. I wonder if that means he’s going to be the destructive kid with his toys; oooh I really hope not!
(MET: I’ve yet to meet a boy who doesn’t like to take apart things 🙂 … or knock it over … as we get older, we like to try and set it on fire or run it over 🙂 … you know, like when we’re 28 or 83 … we’re kooky 🙂 As a mom, you’ll NEVER have to stop saying, “What were you thinking?” 🙂 ).
Duplo and Mega Bloks are same size, at least the ones we have. You can mix and create monsters.
But don’t forget: The components made the base of Duplo vehicles are screwed and meaningless if you unscrew to the parts.
Although it is possible, to mix the vehicles by fitting Pixar Mega Bloks expressions onto Duplo bases is not very creative. We have Duplo Fire Engine, Ferrari Set, Gas Tanker etc and lots of Pixar Mega Bloks. The scale is different. The special parts of tanker, engine, etc are made to fit only the parts included Duplo packs. Probably this is why mixing Duplo and Pixar MB couldn’t end up with nice looking toys.
… or maybe we couldn’t try enough. My son doesn’t like to mix the Duplo and Pixar MB sets. Every set has its own drawer and he definitely disagree when I propose to mix.
If you just buy Duplo bricks, windows, etc, you can easily built monster McQueen.
Met I think I’m going to have to agree with you on that! If something is built he knocks it down or takes it apart. I don’t think we have one Transformer right now that is all together; the bin we keep them in is just Transformer pieces. He is my free-spirit; I seriously think Ethan will be the kid on the roof wearing a sheet as a cape telling me he can fly. My only hope is that I’ll be fast enough to stop him before he jumps
Start feeding him LOTS of Jello so he bounces!!
