While this video from Matchbox is from the 1960’s – the process hasn’t changed much though of course, the day to day actual procedures have changed – prototypes are not carved from wood anymore … and factory workers tend not to walk around carrying molten zinc in ladles with their bare hands or without eye protection … and like in the UK now and the US now, not much actual toy assembling or manufacturing outside of Asia these days.
An slightly more updated video from the German diecast company, SIKU shows that the design process & production process has changed slightly but not by a lot.
This Hot Wheels video Malaysia pretty shows you the same manufacturing process they use to make CARS today though only in China for CARS.
