After 1,000+ releases, and a third film coming – how do you keep the most popular character, Lightning McQueen in the release mix? A blind box series was an intriguing concept.

Though if you picture the item on the outside of the box, most people do not consider it a “blind box” but on the other hand, it is much more consumer friendly. These are the first 6 releases. There are a total of 12 Lightning McQueen’s on the list.

The Tongue Lightning McQueen is essentially the same as its always been – he’s always been segmented and missing the Rust-eze on the back spoiler.

But the back is nice, an illustration of Lightning if you piece all the boxes together.
