Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: CARS 2015 Poster – New Diecasts Coming! (Higher Res Names Update)
Thanks for the heads up, “John V.” in spotting this online! And “ToyFountain” for finding the higher res version.
The poster online is not very high res so it can’t be really blown up very much but some prototypes from “olden” days have finally been diecasted.
Some are new but have already been revealed/released so I did not include those again in larger sizes.
So, the diecast photos are not high res yet but at least we can read the names
The Airport Adventures features some very cool diecasts including a Ucchi, the car-passenger loader plus Acer with luggage cart – nice!
Also some airport Pitty’s, Nat McLaugnut and Michael Honksel.
“Ito San” is really Trent Crow-Tow.
Looks like many of the Tokyo Party releases are also new – well, mostly repaints or added accessories but still “new” Miles with microphone, waiter, Mike Fuse and Pitty with Gong (Terry Gong if there was any doubt it was a gong). It looks like we will finally get Mater with Sushi Chefs. I’m sure you guess their names were Edamame & Daisu Tashimi.
Rip Clutchgoneski gets a Crew Chief, Brian Gearlooski! (Who’s their Pitty? John Fueltankskionfire?)
New Race Fans includes Christina Wheeland and a expression new Mia & Tia (Superfan).
Palace Chaos gets a lot of repaints though the BMW looks new (while the Box Set BMW looks like a 2002, the single here looks like a current 5-series, Scott Motorse). We’ve seen Jumpstart J. Ward (blue Jag) out in the wild. The two London cops are repaints with new names – Scott Spark and Siren Carbini. Same with Mike Lorengine repaint – looks like without a gun – Gearett Taylor. Manny Roadriquez – repaint of the London cop CARS – Ford Mondeo?
There is also a Mater with Sign from CARS 1 and a PCM Fabulous Hudson Hornet with Pit Stand … also expected last year but finally coming – Pit Crew Mack (with headphones).
The Pit Box looks different than the one with the launcher.
Ye Left Turn Pub Lorries! (or is it Lorrys)? They look great! Paul Oilkley & Brett Warnewagen. While the Grem & Acer have been revealed as slight variants, they do have a new name – Grem & Acer in Trouble.
And of course, RV’s! And the “return” of My Name is Not Chuck (with Cart). The last releases of My Name is Not Chuck was without air gun.
Doug RM
Larry Camper
Remember, retail exclusives are never shown on the yearly posters.
Thanks for the heads up, “John V.” in spotting this online at Amazon.
Larger version HERE – thanks ToyFountain!
Will there be a full size version of this one? I have the 2013 poster (from a KMart mail-in) on my kids’ bedroom wall and would like to get ones for this year and last for their room.
The new singles 2015 releases coming with a updated 2015 poster.
Regarding the palace chaos cars…
So Mark Wheelson and the other two were just re-named? Or, are they actually different characters?
(MET: Well, technically there are hundreds of cops roaming around the race – since Doug & Mark didn’t have any lines, they can simply make them up … it’s hard to tell since they probably just used Mark’s & Doug diecast in the photos but I’m presuing the new releases will have diff eye positions and maybe a new mouth expression).
With Doug RM, Larry, and Benny Brakedrum being on the list; what cars are left from the Cars Finder Blu-ray game? Percy Hanbrakes, Bennie Caliper, Dan Sclarkenberg. Am I missing any beyond the large RV’s?
Hey Met,
What do you suppose happened to the CHASE cars? Not one in the bunch. Some of these ARE Chase cars in my opinion. And it looks like Mario Andretti put his beige rims back on! Do you think that’s maybe because the RED RIMS were on a Chase?
((MET: They generally just take a picture once of that character and re-use that one over & over and almost never update it. Mario has been released for the correct rims for a while (including short cards).
As for the CHASE/SC – hopefully that deal is over. I’m not against a chase/SC on principle but the way it’s been done since 2012 makes very little sense – especially with the poor distribution).
Lenticular Mario had red rims too, as did it’s cardback image.
I ordered and received one of the 2015 Mario Andretti when Amazon had them for sale a few weeks ago… the Car has red rims even though the cardback shows the beige rims.
There are some great Cars on the 2015 poster… and we know the 2015 poster contents over 2 months earlier than we did the 2014 poster.
Now if they’ll be released before the start of the 2016 Mattel year – I still have 2014 (non-Super Chase) Cars that I’ve never seen in a store.
I was wondering if maybe the 2014 poster was ready back in February 2014 too, but the entire Mattel-Cars website waited for another line such as Riplash Racers to be ready. And how sad to short change a loyal customer base for a product that’s already failed in the market.
It could be July again before we see this poster officially.
Unfortunately Met, just heard the SC Program is continuing with the Circus Van in Case V, twin to T.
Daisu Tsashimi is also the Sushi Pitty’s name in the Cars 2 Video Game.

(MET: Nice catch!)
Note that “My Name is not Chuck” appears to have an air wrench on his tines as well.
There’s a printed copy of the posters located under the cars from Amazon.
Thanks to Dizz from CTT. I never noticed before. The posters are folded on the bottom under the cars. I ordered four cars (Jumpstart, Okuni, Cruz and Bert) from Amazon and they all have a poster. I haven’t opened any of them.
(MET: Poster covered a month ago but unless they updated the poster in CASE T, it’s NOT the 2015 poster).
Old Timmy Twostroke prototype seen here in the post for August 8th, 2008. Link may be too long to paste though: http://www.takefiveaday.com/2008/08/08/mattel-disney-pixar-cars-the-mainline-san-diego-comic-con/
(MET: What a memory!)
I always wanted _that_ Timmy Twostroke as well as the one we actually got from Mattel. Now it looks like we sort of will.
It looks like Christina Wheeland is a re-do of the very old original prototype for Timothy Twostroke (from almost a decade ago!).
Excellent characters in the year ahead especially the Rv’s and FHH PitBox and Pit Crew Mack, hope we see them here in New Zealand.
Just appeared here are the Deluxe Brain Fuel and yes Tractor (just a single) retail NZ$24.99. ( 1 NZ$ = 74c US).
Also Red and Dinoco Helicopter, I cannot confirm if there were any others as I was too surprised to see them I quickly bought Brian oblivious of the cos, such is cars collecting.
Met I will email a photo of Brain Fuel.
Criminy Crikey! This is amazing news. There are nearly twenty really exciting new items on there … two RV’s, Doc and his stand, Rip’s crew chief, fans, photographers, Left Turn Inn fellows, Crew Chief Mack!! So very exciting, and 2015 is redeemed!
Most new releases I’ve seen since cars 2 started.
This poster is the best blog that I’ve be seen in months from Mattel.A 2015 so early in the year.
Full size poster with readable names at

Just zoom in 200% if 100% is too small to read the font.
Thanks!
A “Lubewig” as Rip Clutchgoneski’s crew chief… perfect!
We are more excited than any year so far since we began collecting in ’12
My faith in the 2015 line has been restored!
Oh my! A dream come true the RV’s Larry and Doug.
BEST YEAR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can hardly contain my excitement! Way to go, Mattel. Thanks for renewing my interest on the line.
Panting over the RV’s!!
John J
