And since the promotion is done – they sent all the extras to the Mattel Outlet stores …
They have closed one but 8 are still open – they do NOT do mail order so you have to show up or send someone in person.

just got notification that they have been processed and shipped…mailed them in on the 8th of novemeber
SO ticked off! I got my notice of 4 shipping, rather than 5. I submitted everything for 5, but they claim one of my receipts wasn’t the original receipt! I don’t know where they get this crap. It was the one they handed me in the store, kept in my wallet. Makes no sense. And, no refund on the shipping I paid to boot. Really ticked!
I sent in my 2nd round of cardbacks and receipts over a week ago (almost two weeks now) and I haven’t heard a thing, the first time around I got an email almost immediately stating they received my items and that my cars would be shipping soon and then I got a shipping email BUT this time around NOTHING. If I don’t get my cars I’m driving to the East Aurora location and demanding answers! Ridiculous just ridiculous.. no wonder so many people I know have given up on Mattel altogether.
I sent in a second round of mail-aways…haven’t heard a peep…sent well before the deadline…what gives?
I’m thinking we aren’t getting our Cars from the promo. I sent everything off in time but still haven’t gotten an email saying they were shipped.

Thanks Kevin. In my original email from Mattel it said they need to receive everything by 6 December. I’m pretty sure they got it already since I mailed it 5 November. I think what may have happened is they shipped it (but didn’t email me), and its on a boat to Germany. As you know if that’s the case it’ll be here in about 6 weeks. That’s what I’m hoping. We’ll see!

Hey, Saturday is last day to mail in receipts.
I worked for 30 years as an operations planner for a Fortune 500 company. If the team I was on produced the distribution results I’m now seeing for Mattel, I’d have been out of work (1.e., unemployed) a long time before that. By the way, Mattel is currently 369 on the 500; the company I worked for is the 160’s.
For some reason, I received an invoice saying that my order had shipped. But only one of the sets shipped out while my 2nd one said items may be back ordered. What the hell Mattel? Is this the reason it might be back ordered? Not cool Mattel :-/

These were actually found BEFORE the promotion was over, which REALLY boils my blood.
They were?! If that’s not a swift kick to the pants, I don’t know what is. Gee thanks, Mattel. I’m SO glad I supported this promotion, only to have the same stuff show up at Barney’s Discount Toy Barn two weeks later.
It’s a shame this wasn’t posted sooner, then. I might have had a chance to get some at one of their stores. I went to Pomona today and there was no sign of them. Called El Segundo and they were out too.
