Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Singles 2014 Preview – Tuners
Almost literally carrying over from 2013, nearly all the Tuners from 2013 carry over to 2014. We don’t know the full 2-pack lineup but it does not seem there are many tuners on that list.
So, Yakoza does not make the list but if you already had him and either didn’t buy the 2-pack Movie Moment with Chisaki because it’s hard to find or you wanted to save a few bucks, now you can wait for Chisaki as a single.
Ichigo is not on the list as she was a CHASE.
But everything else returns. I think most people won’t complain too much but I doubt anyone would’ve really complained if they doubled up the 4 Radiator Springs “Tuners”* in their non-flame mode.
* Technically, Snot Rod is not a tuner but I think most collectors can accept calling him a tuner.

Can’t say I’m surprised given the previous announcements on the other series. Lazy and uninspired.
To make it worse, no 2-packs here so was actually half looking forward to getting Yokoza as a single. Chisaki? Meh. Do we really need 3 Tokyo girlWhere’s Komodo?
….but on the plus side, we’ll be saving some money this year!
BLAHHHH, Time to start collecting something else. These repeats and re-releases are killing me.
2014: The Year of the Completist
Yep 2014 is looking like the year of the repeats.
Oh. My. Gosh.
Could the forecast for 2014 get any bleaker? Yes, we all love the Tuners but who doesn’t have these already?! It’s as if all the momentum, goodwill, and excitement from 2013 is going, going, going and…. yep… gone. There it went. I’m going to have to return to collecting shiny buttons or something.
