Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: Metallic Frosty Lands in Australia
The new Metallic Frosty (Mark Winterbottom) single has arrived in Australia. “Jeaks” sends along some great photos.
The MAIN difference is he is NOT a SUPER CHASE nor a CHASE.
He is a REGULAR release and not limited – and can be re-released.
Will we get a US release? It seems likely but it’s impossible to say for certain – likely in that he is not a SUPER CHASE and not a CHASE but until we get a full US listing of releases for 2014, it’s hard to say. In Australia, he is presumably a Target Australia exclusive (as Winterbottom has a promotional deal with them) but it is not sniped Target Australia.
Last year, they did a promotion around November 10th, there’s no information this year so far on a promotion but perhaps it’s not as pressing as it’s just a “regular” release. Mark Winterbottom seems to be huge in Australia. There is a whole line of “Frosty” products (mostly kids stuff).

Happy for you Andy. Nice finds! These aren’t better than the original Frosty’s though. I like the yellow and blue. I wonder why Mattel and or Disney fell in love with the silver look. I think they would have been better off using the special paint and tires like Hot Wheels Super Treasure Hunts for a different look racer set.
