Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: And Ruka Was Her Name-O
I think she might be the last listed release of 2013 without a name … “Quercy” sends along photos – Airport Waitress is RUKA.
Thanks, “Quercy!”
While Ruka seems to be a repaint of the Super Chases, she’s actually a slightly different sculpt. Her smile is different than the other Super Chases/Cartney – they cannot really “glue” on a metal front face plate so while she might share mostly a body with Cartney Brakin’, she is a different sculpt since her smile/face is different. They can glue on a plastic piece but when it’s a metal unibody, it’s just easier to make a different mold. If she were larger and had more seam-lines, in theory you could weld a piece on but since she’s so tiny and no real obvious seams – it would be a hassle and costlier.
Is she part of the Kmart case? Well, she is listed as part of this case – it’s not 100% certain this is the Kmart Case.

Man, another chase that we don’t have!
I wish we had the ability to “like” comments here.
Like.
(Haha! It’s not quite the same, though, is it? I’ve thought the same thing as you.)
OOH – I want her! Hope it is part of the Kmart case, since that’s the only place I can ever get to!
She’s purty.
My children, unfortunately, will chew that hat to pieces within a week. Why must Cars be so cute AND delicious?
