“I believe kids will like it because the race has 7 legs and goes on pretty much the entire story… I can imagine the scenes at cinema will be really good. Especially the 3D version. On the other side I was a little disappointed by the characters being too similar to Cars…. McQueen, Hicks, Sally, Doc, Mater, etc… It is hard to not making the match…”

BTW, 10 of the Planes are revealed here (including Zed not shown which pretty much looks Ned). Fliegenhosen, Skipper, Leadbottom, Bravo and Echo are available as diecasts but they do not take part in the race. Arturo/Auero HERE but he is also not in the book. Guess that leaves 11 PLANES racers un-shown so far.
