Oversized Dinoco Helicopter from CARS 1 – rerelease, looks about the same as the last release but it’s been a long while …
Ivan Mater – Mater disguised as Ivan, first release.
Kabuki Mater – first release. Nice & elaborate.
Mack – note, this is CARS 1 Mack – the recent release at WM of the Mack hauler featured him wearing a cap where the Rust-eze logo was on a red background – this is his cap from CARS 1 – logo on the white background … and the tow non-hole. It looks essentially unchanged from CARS 1.
Of course, it’s packed 1 each of the two new Mater’s and 2 each of Mack & Dinoco.
The cardbacks don’t reveal anything new other than where these oversized deluxe CARS seem to naturally fit into each theme …

Sweet! But Ivan Mater… I understand they’re trying to make more money but seriously Mattel?
Now don’t go on a riot saying these won’t sell. They will. Trust me. There are lots more collectors who would love a Dinoco Helicopter (not sure about Mack, since his updated Hauler version was just recently released..) and I can see them flying off the shelves. Although I do agree on two things..
1. Mack needed to be 1 to a Case anyway, regardless if he will sell or not
2. Ivan Mater is too small for a Deluxe size

The Ivan suit is removable … to make it more movie accurate …. no wait … that would have been a GOOD idea. Lol

Maybe it’s the camera angle; but Ivan Mater doesn’t look very deluxe to me.

Those that do not learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them … come on Mattel …. 2 awesome brand new mater and you short pack them. I guess families that are rediscovering the original Cars movie should love the repeats though!!
The case assortment numbers are still skewed but at least we are getting 2 new cars!
Why is Mattel making the same mistakes again with the Deluxe line? Most people already have Mack as a complete Hauler and half a Mack will clog the pegs like Sub Finn has for the last 18 months. Stop short packing the new characters!
