Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: Ultimate Chase Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom Makes Its Only Pit Stop in Australia
The third Ultimate Chase has arrived in Australia – based on Australian racer Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom …
Nice unibody!
He was first available in mid September if you clipped this coupon from the (Australia) Herald Sun at the Sandown 500 race. They were only giving away 200. If they had stopped there, it would easily be the lowest publicly distributed CAR.
But a month later (last week) at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 race, the Gold Coast Bulletin (newspaper- Australia) gave away another 400 for members of their VIK Club with kids.
Again, if that was it, it was be the lowest distributed CARS item but now the last bit has been announced from Mark’s Facebook page – that the rest have been released to Target … presumably like the other ULTIMATE CHASE CARS in quantities of 3,000-4,000 total (as noted on the back of the US cards) minus the @600 given away at the two races.
From racer Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom’s facebook page … his retail partner … Australia Target (NOT legally affiliated with US Target – the Australian store licensed the name and logo).
(From Herald Sun)
Mack is touring Australia again.
So, Australian only but I’m guessing the internet pipes will be filled with CARS going north and electronic greenbacks going the other way. 🙂
Thanks for the info & heads up, “John H.” and “Double-Oh-Eight.”
“PV” sends us a pic from his shopping excursion …what, no Finn’s?

I want to live in Australia!
“PV” has hit the largest Jackpot in Cars history!! WOW!! I sure hope there is a TFAD share plan in the near future!! :-}
Lucky!
Would be nice to have a few of these here.
Few of ANY Super Chase!!
Little disappointed with this Car. My son found one (he beat me to it and paid for it from his own money) and opened it up. The Australian map on the drivers side door (passenger for US) is back to front. Doesn’t look right. The Car is nice but f going to put a map on then should get right.
The map on the passenger side (drivers side for US) is correct. You can see the wrong map in the photo of the cardback
It looks like they simply flipped the decals, rather than moving them, like they do on the Haulers.
Why is shipping from Australia 20$ on eBay…
That would have to be fully registered for that price even then seems excessive. Normal postage from Oz to US is $7 for a single car in box with padding.
I KNOW!!!
I’ve sent several packages to Australia…what’s pathetic is that a seller charging 22$ has the delivery time listed as 15 days versus someone for 13$ as 8…what’s up with that? oh well…I’m gonna get one somehow!
neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s amazing how in the rest of the world they are getting new Cars, and here, we are stuck with Finns!!
I saw the Mattel rep. today at TRUs and asked her if she can send all those Finns from Target back to China and bring new stuff…she said “I know..it’s pretty bad”.
I would love to buy just one as that’s all I do is try & get 1 of everything. mpthompson2005@sio.midco.net Mark Thompson.
Boy they are making this Ultimate chase tricky!! First they don’t put them on the shelves then they release them on the other side of the planet! (Unless your from oz!) Hopefully Russian chase don’t just show in Russia…could be a tricky one 😉
Thanks to Jack I have managed to keep up!
Don’t worry Taylor if we have to get some Russian deals going that’s what we will have to do. LOL. No I think we’re in good shape for now. Only Frosty so far isn’t scheduled for a US release. I think the next couple we should be all right on.
Although it would be great to be able to actually find some Ultimate chases at retail. That still hasn’t happened in America yet. I hoping I might be the first one to do so someday. It’s ok if I’m not first though. I would rather find the most. :)-
I already have a bunch on the way Express. thanks to a fine Australian collector. Can’t wait, some are spoken for already but I will have extras. I will be offering some on the trade board. So Please feel free to get in touch of you are interested in adding a Frosty or 2 to your collection.
Im interested in a couple Frosty’s!!! matt premo @ hotmail dot com
PM sent, I’ll take one if you still have em.
Thank you for all of the interest so far. I could really use a Frank if anyone has one. Besides that I could use some help with some Radiator Springs classics: mainly Fabulous Hudson Hornets, Flo’s and Sheriffs. I need a ton. The first few that can send me a conbo of 9 of those I will trade with. As I said though I will post on the trade forum soon too, if there are still any left by then.. Thanks Jack sijack1@aol.com

Hey PV, what do you need in trade? 🙂
Will probably never see this one on the pegs as well 🙁 Wish our US Targets had these kind of events 🙁 Thankz MET.
Well, if we had this event here in the U.S., they would give away Jeff Gorvette.;)
