Disney Pixar CARS Take Flight Diecast: Open Update
John H & Nikko were nice enough to send along photos of them open …
It looks like they have brought back the first Barney Stormin’ mold as the wings of Propwash Junction Biplane is all plastic … Props McGee & Barney Stormin’ 2 have metal wings.
The 2 Falcon Hawk’s are mostly plastic … but they are solidly built.
The only part of the planes that are metal are the back horizontal and vertical stablizers.
Falcon Hawk Black (the bandage one) is set with the landing gear down.
The NASCA truck carries the same expression as Dustin Mellows (though with different eye position).
The NASCA truck card has a nice illustration of what your expression might be if you found yourself suddenly on the moon. 🙂
Thanks, John H. and Nikko!
It seems every case has shipped except for CASE C – the complete checklist is here.

got these about 3 weeks ago, just missed out on the blue truck, but our walmart shows 8 cases coming any day.
They also had the moon mater walmart only, although I can’t figure out the difference with him and the one I got 2 months ago at tru.
I don’t think there is a difference between the two. TRU and Target all got shipments with Walmart branding.
LAME. I no longer want the new bi-plane. I highly dislike the plastic wings.
Found the 1st Falcon Hawk and the Nasca truck today at TRU! Was so happy to find something new! They all had the Walmart sticker.
I found 2 Falcon Hawk 1′s at Target yesterday, and they both had the “Only at Walmart” sticker scratched off, apparently by either a Target employee or someone with Mattel distribution.
Yes,
I too have been finding many Nasca’s, Autonaut Mater, etc. at Target with the “Only at Walmart” sticker partially peeled off.
What is going on with this? Were these originally a Walmart exclusive, then shipped to all? Or are they Walmart returns to Target?
Is there any of the Take Flight Deluxes that ARE exclusive to Walmart?
Yes, I believe they were originally going to be Walmart exclusives, but that changed. I don’t think any Take Flight diecasts are Walmart exclusives; supposedly, they were going to be, but then Walmart and Mattel arranged to have a bunch of new singles become Walmart exclusives, so Walmart then backed out on the Take Flight cars.
The little guy ( and me) can’t wait for Mater Hawk
Haven’t seen anything but the original 4 here.. 🙁
Same here, but I’ve seen Case D
Bring on MATERHAWK!!
Exept Case C
Finaly,McQueen Hawk and Aveator Mater!
