Ein Geschenk vom Himmel = A gift from the heaven! (vom being a contraction of von dem, I think)
I knew I sat through years of German in HS and college for something!
I would guess the part before the dumb stunts someone is saying something like “Hey y’all watch this!”
So the East Germans had this in 1958, we had Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria hardtop coupes, Thunderbirds, Corvettes and more. The Janus would probably fit in the trunk of a ’57 Cadillac.
(MET: Their plan was to fool the decadent Americanskis! You could not tell if they were coming or going … 🙂 But man, if I could mount a monocle on this car, I’d drive it around).
reminds me of my Dad’s Isetta.
That thing was so fun to drive.
It doesn’t seem so evil in this context.

Would someone please translate what we just heard?
Neat?
Do not attempt at home… Stunts performed by professionals?
That was great! Just think, if you get rear ended in that car, your passengers get a front row seat!
