If You’re Looking For a 1969 Dodge Charger – It’s Bright Orange
If you missed out on the Barry Diesel proto auction, here’s your chance to own a larger 1:1 scale CAR …It’s an actual General Lee from the TV series.
Since it’s Barrett-Jackson, you know it’s not just some random orange painted Charger. Details below. You can flash the QR code to go to the website.
Or if by some small chance, you’re not the winning bidder and want to build your own, this place will sell you a kit (you provide the 1969 Dodge Charger).
Weren’t all of the Generals used in the show “just some random orange painted Charger” — with any of two different body styles? And weren’t all of them thrashed, bashed and trashed in the process?
not the ghost version….
Does it come with the doors welded shut and bows with dynamite arrows?
Despite the car’s condition I hope this goes into a museum, not a collector’s garage, Lee #1 should be for everyone to take a look at!
But only if you can also sign up to take it for a ride!
You would think that with a 16 month restoration they could have gotten the “1” straight…..or is it an optical illusion?
Looks crooked to me…
If you’ve been trying to outrun Sheriff Rosco P Coltrane I suggest you look into this, it would be a good car for you then.
When the series was in production, the producers would have people scouting parking lots for clean Chargers, leaving slips of paper with offers and phone numbers on the windshield!
A lot of pristine Chargers went to the scrap yard just for the sake of keeping that show in production.
“…restored… to pre-jump condition”
That’s good to know, because It wouldn’t be much fun to drive in post-jump condition. Some have argued that part of the reason for these cars being so valuable is that so many of them were destroyed during the filming of these shows.
