Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Mater Saves Christmas “Repeat”
Some people thought the new 2011 Mater Saves Christmas box set featured slightly different CARS as they now had plastic tires …
But last years releases of Whee-Hoo Winter Mater (aka: Snowcap Mater) & Snowplow LM had plastic tires also … so … same as it ever was.
If you are not a packaging collector, these are repeats open.
This is the first release of them in one package so the packaging is new, however.
The Reindeer Mater in the previous box set only-release has synthetic rubber tires so that will be the only question – when we get the single of Reindeer Mater this year, plastic or synthetic? Though “David V.” Says the France singles release of Reindeer Mater is with synthetic rubber tires so that seems to settle that question.

Hopefully some Mattel employees who make these decisions will get some repeat gifts themselves. Someone should rewrap their last years gifts and give them to them again.

Already collected ’em all. Unless Mattel is planning a “Santa CARS” with eight tiny snowmobiles and a bunch of pitty “elves,” I’m good to go…
I’d also like to see Mrs Santa and one of Santa’s haulers.

I’ll take all of the above! I asked the Mattel designers at Comicon if we would get the snowmobile reindeer and they said yes! But unfortunately I think they misunderstood me to mean reindeer Mater :(.
I can just picture the Santa car with reindeer box set, it would be so beautiful.
