This is the first ever release of Snowplow Lightning McQueen paired with Whee-Hoo (Snow Cap) Mater together.
Last year Whee Hoo Mater was available in the Santa CAR 3-pack AND as a single.Whee-Hoo Mater does not appear to be available as a single … speaking of singles, David V./Mathilde sends along pics of what they will look like.
This is the first release of (Christmas Lights) Fillmore as a single.
Reindeer Mater was last available in 2010 as part of a box set. So, not only is he returning but it’s the first ever release as a single.
These are of course, EU packaging but the US ones should look exactly the same on the front except for the multiple languages.
Presumably, they are all TRU exclusives but it’s hard to tell at this point but it seems a safe guess.
The other releases are repeats – see our last post for pics of Christmas Cruiser Ramone, Holiday Doc Hudson & Holiday Hotshot Lightning McQueen.
So, missing for 2011: Snow Day Sally, Holiday Spirit Sheriff (both black & greenish), Guido (with present), Luigi (with hat) & Santa CAR.
Perhaps another box set?

So happy I already own these.
Saw these yesterday, right next to all the santa sets left over from last year (they never marked ’em down). As with everybody else, really hoping for new ones. I will never forget the first xmas set, nowhere to be found here in AZ, so I started calling around as soon as we landed in IL for the holidays. “One left” he says. “I will be right there!” I reply. He saved it for me, could have given him a hug. Daughter was stoked to open that gift.
Thanks to some awesome T5aders, about a month ago we had 0 Christmas cars. Now we have them all except Reindeer Mater and Snow Day Sally. Looks like Reindeer Mater will be taken care of soon and Snow Day Sally will be the one that remains elusive.

Yeah, what’s up with that? An old hippy would be the last person, er, car to deserve that title. They must have confused him for chick hicks. Which makes me wonder, will they release “holiday chick with fuel cans?”
Man, it has been so long since I have bought any Cars, I might have to buy that boxed set when it goes on clearance. Have always liked that Mater, and don’t have Snowplow McQueen.
The only positive I see here is that I won’t have to hunt for and spend any $$ on these this year :(. I would gladly pay big $$ for a Santa car with a full set of snowmobile reindeer, a Santa Car/Mrs Santa 2 pack, a couple elves, a Flo/Lizzie/Red 3 pack. How bout a big box set of ALL the Christmas townies and the book? Mattel, really, there are people who WILL buy this stuff if only you would make it.

$15 for a two pack seems high to me. With local sales taxes these come out to approximately $8.25 each.

Reindeer Mater was part of the box set in 2009, not 2010.
