Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: There’s a New Deputy in Town
There is a new 2-pack listing for Sheriff & “Deputy.”
Deputy?
I made several secret phone calls to people who know people who know people who know things that no one is supposed to know until November 1, 2011. After being hooded, I entered a special chamber where I got to see the unseeable and the horrific* … aka: CARS 2 projected on the back shoulder of a broad shouldered man.
*horrific as there were no onion bagels and someone ate ALL the lox – the things I have to put up with.
I could not find anything resembling a deputy in the opening and closing scenes at Radiator Springs in CARS 2.
As far as I can tell, Sheriff is still the only law enforcement in town.
And since the 2-packs nowadays contains one re-release and one new CAR, the closest thing to a deputy in the film is:
Are they still called Bobbies?
Or this guy, would these – could these count as the “Deputy?”
?? Since I have no picture of the deputy, I was only able to photograph the Sheriff …
If only there was some catchy caption that would capture that I photographed the Sheriff but that I was not able to photograph the Deputy … humm … 😆

Sheriff had ties with someone at Scotland Yard. Scotland Yard has deputies. So I would assume it would be his ‘contact.’
Though ‘Deputy’ Mater could still be interesting I suppose. I actually prefer the book and video game characters(Mitch,Phillip,etc.) over the Cars 2 characters.
If I read the post correctly it says “Sarge and Deputy” Not Sheriff. Hopefully Sarge will be the one we have already, and “Deputy” will be some kind of British law enforcement or military.

At least it will be our first fixed eye Sheriff. Only have him in lenticular version. Good for us either way. Another cool 2 pack would be Flo and Union Jack Ramone. Our Lenty Flo is covered in dents and paint chips. Our other non-lenty Flo has a tray stuck to the side of her.
As far a C2 is concerned, Sheriff is “new”. I fear “Deputy” will be a rusty brown tow-truck with a badge graphic.
(MET: I did not want to say that out loud. 🙂 ).
“Deputy Mater” is a story in “Cars Storybook Collection” Sheriff deputizies Mater and Mater adds Lightning, Sally and Sarge. They get white doors from Ramone with Radiator Springrs badges on their doors. There are several plates showing Deputy Mater.
Maybe they are talking about Sarge’s friend in the British Military. Can’t remember his name but he will be a cool diecast.
