reminds me of my Spuds McKenzie shoes lol
My 16 year old has painted her own unique designs on shoes for years, but she would never think to paint a copyrighted item on a product and sell it.
(MET: Generally as long as you are not mass producing them and do not raise too high of a profile, most companies will accept it as “fan art.” Yes, they can sue and yes, they will probably win but it’s like arresting girls scouts for selling without a permit – no one really wins …).
As long as text messaging and video games can’t damage the sneakers I think this generation of youth will be okay.
Not to be Debbie Downer, but do you think they will paint trademarked items for much longer?
