Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: D23 Expo Finn, Begin Again – The Saga
Wasn’t able to arrive under Sunday morning to D23 Expo but fortunately, I signed up for the Mariela-Pablo SMS Update Express … and I was told there was Finn’s on hand …
It looks like there were still about 70? But looks are slightly deceiving. The one on the right cabinet were reserved for pre-order pickups.
When we returned at 11:38 AM, Pablo got email & text for 10 more so after he bought those …
That’s it – one slightly open Finn and one in its outside box. That was it.
But strangely when I passed back by at about 1 PM – Finn was SOLD OUT but the pre-ordered pickup cabinet seemed untouched … since the max was 6 – was it one order and they wanted to run in at the last, last minute? Or where 10 or so people just lollygagging at home thinking, “I have this feeling I need to be somewhere …”
Was anyone able to buy some at 6:59 PM Sunday?
Hope you got them or maybe you felt Mattel & Disney needed a few extra bucks of charity to tide them over … 🙂
Guess you’ll be seeing them at the Mattel Outlet Stores … anyone buy a D23 Woody?

Can someone please help me out? We can’t find the On/Off switch on our D23 McQueen. I tried following the diagram on the box but to no avail. Anyone’s help is much appreciated!!
Looks like you need to remove the bottom cover. I have not had time to do one of mine but here is the photos

As a person who prides themselves on fast service and a dedication to getting things for TFAD people and CTT people at SDCC every year, I did get my box from Mariela just a few minutes ago.
Perfect, perfect, perfect.
Could not even think of a better way to say it.

Yes I bought the Woody tv set thing. I think its a great display piece.
I have some Woodys here if anyone needs him.
While my son Ian and I were in line to get the exclusive Lotso, Pablo and Met were at the Mattel booth just on time to get those last 10 ordered Finns.
At 6.30 pm there were 2 Finns left (the display ones) a guy bought one and we bought the last one but without the brown box, and without the blue Finn in envelope, so I wonder what happened there, if the Mattel girls sold the boxed Finns without adding the envelopes or they sold the envelopes without the boxed Finns??
Didn’t go back to check if the pre-orders were taken or not…we were at the P.O. booth getting some boxes and the Mattel booth closed at 7 pm. They said if these are still available before 6.55 pm they will sell them. So if there were any left by then and one lucky buyer came along, he/she could of bought them.
If nobody claimed for the pre-orders ones by 7 pm, probably they will go back to Matty or Mattel stores, same with the Woodys, in my opinion.
