Hasbro Mighty Muggs: Back For San Diego Comic Con 2011
Nice addition to the Mighty Mugg family …
$34.99 at the (crazy, crazy, packed full of crazy people) Hasbro booth – if any left, will be available online afterwards.
Funny packaging. Nicely done. 🙂
If you’re hit with a rock while in line, it’s nothing personal, I’m just throwing $35 at you so you can pick one up for me. 🙂
(and no, there’s no CARS item at the Mattel selling booth).
Uh oh…..
I just saw this on the Matty page:

Back to the Future™ Vehicle
Hot Wheels®
We’re pretty sure Doc Brown himself would approve of this exclusive from the classic Back to the Future flick. We can show you the box, but not what’s inside. We don’t dare.
This product is available for pre-order at MattyCollector.com on July 11, 2011, to be picked up at San Diego Comic-Con. Limitations apply; please click here to read them. It will not be available at MattyCollector.com on August 1, 2011.
…….
Franken Berry™ Vehicle
Hot Wheels®
This Franken Berry™ cereal box with a Hot Wheels car inside will take you right back to being 7 years-old and watching Saturday morning cartoons. What car is inside? It’s the popular Dairy Delivery vehicle, of course, because you need some milk to go with your cereal! Shake the box and hear that awesome cereal sound coming from inside.
This product is available for pre-order at MattyCollector.com on July 11, 2011, to be picked up at San Diego Comic-Con. Limitations apply; please click here to read them. It will not be available at MattyCollector.com on August 1, 2011.
If anyone is considering the Back to the Future car from SDCC this year, here is what is in the designer box:
This “Bundle Page” shows additional photos.
This looks neat!!

After kicking myself in the butt for not ordering a Tokyo Mater last summer, I was set to order whatever Cars item they put out this year. No Cars item this year? Oh well, I guess we can wait until next year. If anyone has any extra SDCC Tokyo Maters still sitting around, send me an email.
Yeap, they abandoned a new movie when SDCC is all about new movies and games and new comic books, aka Exclusives.
I would hope that it is a “secret release” as in the same theme as the movie is, but oh well, I am still going anyway as Cars is not the only thing I get while I am there.

Dissapointed about no Cars stuff..but if there’s any “secret release” count me in K.!!
I almost started a “Standby List” just in case it is a secret agent release a few times but thought, no, better not.
However, if you feel you want to you can. Email address is above.
I can’t wait to see pics of the new Cars 2 cars in the next few weeks!
when i saw the thumbnail for these i thought it was pit crew boxes from cars 2, how cool would that be?
a pit crew box, with stack of tires, toolbox, crew chief, + 2 pitties.
they could all clip together and sit opposite the big fan stand carry case…
…ah, if only mattel would hire me…
Where is green lantern????
Kilowag..is the best they’ve got?
TOLD ya so….so disappointing after so many years of getting an exclusive car. i go every year, but i wonder how many of you guys were going just to try and get a new car for your collection.
Oh Martin why hast thou forsaken us??????
Martin A. has not been on the cars line in about 2 years
I know and that is why the line has suffered IMHO and why there is no SDCC exclusive…most of the Cars he designed were done so far ahead of time that we got the benefit of reaping what he sowed for almost two years…for example, High and Low or Hydraulic Ramone!
Mattel screwed up when they pulled this artist off the line!
I’m starting to think for whatever reason Mattel doesn’t like Cars collectors so much. How could there not be 1 new Cars product with a new movie out? Then again it would probably be a Finn, Holley and Mater set anyway that cost 35.00 because it comes in a plastic box.
I think they should have gone with a 40-pack with 40 Finn’s called the “40 Faces of Finn McMissile”.
Aww, who wants to go to a superhero convention and get a bunch of dumb cars made for stupid little babies?
??? It’s a good thing your not the judgmental, critical or insulting type. I for one wouldn’t mind going to a toy fair and I certainly wouldn’t mind buying some exclusive cars if they had any if I lived anywhere near SD.
Everyone needs to feel like a kid again every now and then. Who’s to say what adults should do? As long as your not hurting anyone; to each is own and no ones hobby or likes are any better than anyone else’s is. Whatever anyone enjoys that’s what they should do and no one else should put them down for it.
I like having launcher racers with my boy but I can assure you I am all man.
Toy Fair? No, COMIC CON.
I just want my Little pony from SDCC..
The Little pony is my favorite superhero!!!
Me!! I go every year!! also have a ton of fun getting my geek on!!! Super proud to be a geek!!
I think part of the reason there is not a CAR2 exclusive is because D23 later in August has one. Maybe with Disney and Pixar doing things D23 rather than comic con they they decided to have the exclusive there. IDK. Just thinking maybe that is why. I am disappointed too but it saves me some stress at comic con. Since I spend my entire time in panels I have always had a really hard time getting to the floor lines to buy my exclusives.
These look like the mini Mighty Muggs not the regular Mighty Muggs. And 1 giant Mugg. But very cool! I might have to see if any get listed online.
NO Cars?? What?!?!
That’s what it looks like to me: 4 Mini Muggs with Giant Man being a normal-sized Mighty Mugg. That will make them scale nicer with Galactus, too. 🙂
Would’ve been cool if they had made Wasp and/or Ant Man mini-Minis as “accessories” with Giant Man.
