FINALLY!! Opt Out of Receiving Printed Yellow Pages
They claim they aren’t killing more trees to print the yellow pages but still … time to retire the giant paper craters …
Now, finally, they have created a nationwide opt-out page …
Click on the graphic above or HERE.
Once you register, you can then select the Yellow Pages you do NOT want.
So, register and they will send you an email with a confirmation link & your temp password. Then click on CHANGE PASSWORD to change to something you prefer. Then it will give you a page of directories sent in your area – click on the number you WANT to receive – including NONE if you do not want any.
Then click SUBMIT.
FINALLY – about 8 years since I last opened a YP … and no more carrying it to the mall and flinging it into the AT&T kiosk. 🙂
Speaking of which, the Yellow Pages APPS are nice & free … for the iPhone & a different one for the iPad. There are also the SuperPages if you wanted high rated businesses called out – iPhone only. And if you want to look up a business in Egypt.

I am thrilled, hated those huge bulky books…and honestly?
When was the last time any one of us decided to open that yellow-white pages?
yes, go green! and paperless!!!
Hope they do that up here in Canada. My Yellow Pages never enters the house….it goes straight to the recycling bin. Now that’s a waste.
3 printing companies in Utah closed down last year that printed phone books.
