Lego MiniFigures Wave 3: The Secret Bump Dots Visual Checklist
That wacky Lego company … for some reason, they keep upping the ante on trying to blind people from figuring out what’s in each blind bag of minifigures …
Since it’s not like they are manufacturing a million karate guys and 400 Sombrero guy, I’m not exactly sure what they are afraid of … since there are about 2 full sets in each mini POP … and while the boxes are not even production of every figure – even at $3.99, someone will buy the 4 left over …
If you thought the secret “barcode” in Wave 2 was an annoying waste of time, they have really upped the ante this time … with bumps or dots.
Yea, that is it at the bottom.
And now a Decoder Sheet courtesy of ItsAllTrue.Net and “Julia B.”
And of course, it’s very subtle so check & double check. The package photo above has the dots slightly offline so it’s the Race Car Driver and Not the Alien whose dots are on the same line … in other words, good freakin’ luck not making an error while in the store with kids screaming and under dim lightning …
Though you can line up the extras on your Lego-like iPhone Case.
Here’s the full set …
You can also buy them direct from LEGO though of course, you do not get to pick or choose …
where does Target keep these at in the store?
how about at TRU?
Can’t seem to find them.
Thanks
(MET: At Target, I’ve heard seasonal but I never saw any in the Valentine’s section (though not technically Valentine’s – maybe we will get them for the Easter reset) – not even a price tag but those who found them seem to have found them there … at TRU, by the registers apparently).
Thanks MET
and Series 5:

and here is a leaked image:

Now, there are only 9 listed in Series 5, rather than the 16 in the first 4 series. i did hear a rumour that minifigures from the previous series’ would be available again in the future. so maybe there will only be 9 new minifigs in the new series and the rest would be re-releases of past figs. maybe…its a guess.
also, here is whats to come in series 4, which is due out in April:
http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/8804_Minifigures_Series_4
the only 2 i need from this series is the Rapper and the Pilot.
just damn hard to feel the pilot in the packaging as he doesnt really come with a unique accessory, except the backpack. but thats still difficult to feel.
I need a zombie from series 1! Whence these arrive I may have to splurge and get the elf and mummy, samurai already enroute from eBay.
I found it a lot easier and more accurate to feel the package for certain pieces, like the snowboarders snowboard or the gorilla suit man’s banana. It helps to have the pictures handy too so you have an idea of what you might be feeling. Once I got a few right I used the dots to confirm the ones I hadn’t opened yet.
And series 4 will have a pretty sweet looking Geisha and a Garden Gnome!
BTW Target and The Lego Store are selling them for $2.99, TRU is $3.99, not sure about WM (haven’t found them there)
hey, please, let me know when series 4 are out
Must get both…
The guy who runs the LEGO Club meetings at our local LEGO store is particularly adept at identifying these by feel, and is more than happy to help the kids find what they want. After all, happy customers keep coming back to spend more of their parents’ money! (And sometimes the parents spend money on themselves as well!)
Have collected all 3 series including the cute boxes they come in.
Series 3 has been the toughest to decode. At 1.99 for Series 1 and 2 these were fun to get, but not so much at 3.99 for Series 3.
Lego… I should have started collecting these when the first wave came out… Since I didn’t, I’m not going to start now… but these are very nice… or as John in Missouri says, “neat!”
some of them so unique, hard to pass ….
