Well, I guess it’s appropriate in the birthplace of Ozzy and the Led Zep boys, they get the Heavy Metal Toons first … “James X” sends us his Disney Store find.

So, I guess that Heavy Metal 4-pack loses some of its luster with only Heavy Metal Mater as a set exclusive? Or are the Pitty expressions different?

These look like USA cards with the yellow ball on the upper right. Previous UK cards did not have the bubble/ball.
I know…maybe the shipment got a short cut and stopped in UK! 😛

The pitties are so tempting, but must adhere to my ground rules (even in the face of UFM’s Mator and Abhsclepp Wagen): I shall only collect Tokyo Mater Cars Toons.
Yeah – I have said that one before. I am a HUGE fan of the Tokyo Mater stuff. I have everything else minus the Heavy Metal Mater set (haven’t found that one yet) and NO WAY on the Monster Truck stuff. I even put the other sets up on (daredevil, rescue, etc)craigslist but no bites….Still collecting them anyway……
Collect want you want but in my case that means collect them all.
These Cars toon just keep getting better. The ones from the two latest shorts are going to be the best yet. I can’t wait to get Big D and the boys.
how about the ones on the disney web site, they sell the Heavy Metal McQueen and mater as a pack for $14.50 i think.

Little tip to find them,
look for “rockin paint job” at the top of card.
These are by far the best yet….mcqueen is just so coooool….just found them today in Disney store.
Pics dont do them justice, mcqueen with those shades lol.
Can’t wait to get these. Thanks to some great English collectors I have some on the way. Going to try and get more so if anyone is interested just let me know.

I would imagine that if Heavy Metal Mater is available as a single that he would be overpriced as a “deluxe”. Hence you would not see him released with the regular sized singles. So, here’s hoping!
According to the back of the 4-pack, Heavy Metal Mater is #44 (not part of the deluxe numbering system).
You’re right. thanks for pointing it out. HM Mater would be a regular single not deluxe. But since the box does not have exclusive on it, it will probably come out as a single.
Heavy Metal Mater will be available in the Mega(deluxe size). Patience
From that angle it would appear that Rodney does not look much like his picture…
Can someone tell, if the Heavy Metal McQueen and the Guitar guys are different from TRU 4er pack? Anyone how has them already from USA??? 🙂

these look exactly the same as the TRU 4 pack expressions from comparing the 4 pack in hand with these pictures from the UK. The UK version single Mcqueen looks exactly the same to me as the USA 4 pack Mcqueen.
So is the HMM Mater is really exclusive to the 4 pack?

I’m pretty sure we’ll see HMMater not on single card but on Mega/Deluxe Card !
I seriously doubt that HM Mater will be exclusive to the 4-pack. its the main character, it should be released as a single, maybe slightly different from the 4-pack Mater, but definitely released as a single. We’ll see soon enough!
Of course!! The only exclusives in the 4 packs so far had been Mia and Tia..
