Done – found Rasta Mater, Dr Feel Bad and The Tormentor…collection over. Not. I gotta good feeling I will be back and find some Chuys from this small remote low pop city’s Walmart. Hopefully find Bessie too.
Anyone know if Mattel will make a “Paddy O Concrete” from Monster Truck Mater Toons?
First we waited for Frank, then we waited for Bessie, now Chuy is here!

Chy looks likee a bit of a disapointment, i mean look at all the detail on the wheel/tread section on the photo in package all it has got is just a silver rod. the detail is all there, just not painted, looks like one for all those custamizers!
Its not as finely detailed as the proto in Met’s pic. You are right to point out that some parts were not painted. Chuy is much lighter.
I weighed Chuy at 5.2 ounces in the package. Bessie is 7 ounces. Frank is between the two.
Bessie = 7.0 oz
Frank = 6.7 oz
Chuy = 5.2 oz
Bessie must be the heaviest diecast in the Cars line.
The Disney Store Frank is AWESOME! They need to do a heavy Bessie and a heavy Chuy as well.
I have purchased very few of the Disney Store Cars items, but I 100% agree with you on these!
I love the Frank, and the I-Screamer and Paddy O Concrete! A “heavy metal” Bessie and Chuy would top things off nicely!
So if Chuy is this light..it only means that he is 70% plastic and only 30% die cast? 😕
Do these need to be a certain % metal to be called diecast?
(MET: Once upon a time before you could really inject plastic and get precise objects, but now pretty much any toy car is considered diecast … kind of like the phrase ‘white chicken’ is chicken but …).
So will Chuy be the next Bessie or are there plenty of Chuys to go around? Still no sight of this case in southern Maryland and northern Virgina.
Mattel sticks it to the little guy again! Have had these on order for over a month and not even a ship notification yet while others are plucking them off the pegs at Wally World! Once again, Matty never ceases to disappoint 🙁

I sympathize with you Jake. Yes The system is set against The small private businessman. It’s obvious that the powers that be are on the side of the big corporations. This trend will continue.
They keep making it harder and harder on the private businessman with more restrictions, paperwork and taxes.
As margaret thatcher said on her speaking tour after leaving office “There is no place for the small private businessman in the coming new world order”. Big corporations are to run everything and everyone else be reliant on them.
Your troubles are not an accident. It’s an agenda by those in control of such things.
They don’t try to hide it though. It’s all right there written down in books for anyone that wants to read it.

I found the Chuys and Rasta Maters last Thursday, on the 21st at Target here in Houston and sent Met the pictures then. Guess an event called KMart 5 got in the way. 🙂 Picked up 3 Chuys, to recreate the scene in the short where ElMaterdor was surrounded. Good hunting everyone.

Got my hands on some Monster Truck Mater. I really like Tormentor’s Biggest Fan, I Screamer and Rasta Carian. I told myself I would stop after Tokyo Mater…well lol. Now I wanna find Rasta Mater, Dr Feel Bad and The Tormentor. I promise I’ll stop there 😉

I lucked out and found Chuy and Rasta Mater at a Grand Rapids, Mi Target. One interesting item that my wife noticed, the tires on the Rasta Mater are a lot smaller than the ones on Tormentor. Might be how it was in the short, just thought it was a little odd.
The detail on Rasta Mater is right on! My son and I noticed that with each match his Tormentor TIghts got better and his tires got bigger!! Like he was earning his SUPER MONSTER TIRES with every win!! 😆

Found rasta mater over 3 weeks ago. Than saturday our walmart had 4 chuy’s on the shelf, 3 rasta mater, tormenter and than just old toons.
I bought chuy but figured he’d been out for awhile and I was just finally seeing him.
Really cool that he’s just releasing.

I will need at least half a dozen of those!!!! Like the cows, you cannot have only one… I did it also with ninja Kabuto… 4 like the TOKYO short. I did get Rasta Mater today but didn’t see any Chuy… 🙁

These have hit Indianapolis too. Scored a set at Target after yesterdays Kmart event.
I was a bit disappointed with the way Chuy rolls. He has the small wheels, similar to Yeti, but not very smooth. Even with that though, he is one of my new favorites!
Also, I love the detail on the Rasta Mater. I thought it was just going to be Tormentor with the dreadlocks, but the back part is different too… he has the Brand New Mater paint job, just like you see around his mask!
Wow Chuy is neat
Chuy is probably the only character thats worth $8 price tag.
