Yes, the Kmart CARS Day is scheduled for 10-23-2010 – NEXT SATURDAY at 11:00 AM your local time …
But some stores got cases have a giant snipe sticker that reads HOLD FOR CARS EVENT 10-16-2010*

“Because at one point the date was supposed to be 10.16.2010.
So, HEADS UP … like in little league, the Kmart CARS Event ball might not hit when you least expect it or in a body part you like but is it remotely possible?

is it remotely possible YOUR KMART back room guy sees the sticker and sets up at 11:00 TODAY at 11:00 AM?

Sure, the giant *** poster says 10.23.2010 but that’s at the FRONT of the store while the giant *** sticker says 10.16.2010 … so I’m not saying it’s gonna happen but will the guy just roll it out at 11:00 and finding no one in toys, just leave it out?
Sure, unlikely but just saying IT COULD HAPPEN.
So, if you’re the paranoid type, you might call ahead and double check or stroll in later today at 11:00 AM … of course, stores that do this will face a riot next week.
I’m not saying it’s going to happen but just raising the flag that your Kmart might decide today is the Kmart CARS Day Event Day or it might go off without a hitch next week.
It’s never dull.
I won’t be able to check out my Kmart’s until later this afternoon so clock in, check in and let me know if your Kmart decided today was as good as the 23rd.
Or yes, if you’re a heartless ********************, you can rush in and talk the guy into having the event today because that’s what the sticker says … but you better be buying a lot for kids and selling at a discount otherwise you will gets cutsies to ________.

I live in Sierra Vista, AZ and my kmart only had 1 box of the cars toys.
Went to one of my local K-Marts and they had them on the shelf. Picked up a set minus View Zeen. Only one set was out, which makes me think someone wasn’t paying attention or I am late checking out this store.
They had about 100 cars from the previous K-Mart days on an end cap.
Confirmed with my local (and ONLY) K-Mart –
Event sign at entrance and
ONE “Master” box of Pixar CARS for Saturday 23rd.
No 3-packs yet.
Just went to my Kmart today. They’re ready to have the event on the 23rd. They’ve even got the huge poster out. Has anyone found a Kmart that has put their day 5 cases out yet?
I didn’t find the 3 pack at any of my Kmarts either today. 🙁
Both of my Kmarts won’t have anything new until 11 am next Saturday. Look out I will be there then. 🙂

Hey Guys, this may be old news but my Babies R Us has set up a new toy section and they had a ton of the new toons and Deluxe!!!
Thanks Monica. I would never have thought to go to Babies “R” Us as my “baby” is almost 9 years old now. But we went there today and found 5 new Toon singles.
I checked my store and found just the K4 cars on the pegs.

I went to two Kmart stores in my area–no one was fooled at either one as to having the event today, 10/16. The larger store did not even have the poster up for the event–the smaller store, had their poster right up in front as you walk in the door.

The Panini book and stickers sold out a couple of months ago at my local Targets. They were there for a year, so no big surprise.
They also have the Panini books at Party City.I bought a bunch as party favors.
Off subject, but has anyone seen the Panini sticker book at Target? If so, since I’m going there later today, what is the DPCI for the book and the sticker packages? I have looked in the book and card sections, but couldn’t find it. Any help will be appreciated.

Checked the local Kmart. The guy in charge said next week. He said he got four master cases; the most ever for CARS. No rubber tire 3-packs. Still plenty of 4s left, no 3s though. Didn’t see the store sign anywhere. No color circulars either.
So does anyone besides myself think we will be seeing a return of the 1:24 scale rubber tire cars during Matty’s Cyber Monday sale?
Wonder if Kmart did this to get people to come visit there store 2 days instead of one. 🙂

Went by my local Kmart this a.m.; no Day 5 CARS out, but they did put out a whole rack of leftover Day 4 CARS. No poster, either; the store is listed as participating, but ???
So is the date 11-23-10 or 1-23-10? Because if it was 1-23-10, I missed it! LOL!

My local Kmart has the sign up for the event , but it has no date on it.
PLus the sign looks like it has seen better days, it is all faded out and ripped. Will check today to see if they put anything out.
I suppose I’ll make a trip to Kmart later today, just in case…

Nascarfan, have you been told anything about when the presale cases will ship? I ordered one, and it says I will receive it between 10/23 & 10/25. Don’t know if they are shipping a day or so before, or waiting until that day.
They usually start shipping the Day of…..
Mine, i get shipping notices the day or evening before, so probably sunday everyone should have their notices
