I have had terrible trouble with the Matty site. Everytime I tried to place an order it came up saying “cart is empty” so I had to start again. Eventually I got an order confirmation number. I checked my emails but no confirmation emails so I looged back in to Matty and it said I had placed 5 orders! I immediately emailed customer services to explain something had gone wrong and to cancel the 4 extra orders but they have not replied to me. I have emailed them again now as I am getting worried they will send me 5 Maters and charge me $150 as I am having them sent to the UK. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Got mine; one for me, one for Stig Jr. Took @ 45min. to get in, but then just a brief wait to get to the Tokyo Mater page and another brief wait to complete the transaction. It goes by faster if you do other things instead of staring at the “waiting” screen (“5-4-3-2-1-refresh!-5-4-3-2-1-refresh! lather, rinse, repeat, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum…).
The refresh is painful to watch. . . when putting in preorders for pick up at the Con. . the SAME thing happened. . . REFRESH. . . REFRESH. . . siiiigh.
I ordered some more on Monday for a friend and wasn’t surprised to see the waiting screen. My biggest problem was trying to checkout once I had the stuff in the cart. It still kept refreshing every 5 seconds and I didn’t have long enough to type in my login info before it would refresh and everything would be gone! So I finally had to copy and paste my email and type the password as fast as I could, hit enter before it refreshed. . . Took about 30 minutes total to get two things in my cart, checked out and printed. Much better than the wait to buy comic con tickets during the refund period in june. 45 mintes of blank white screen! watching the little blue bar loading. . loading. . loading. . . . . . . . AHHHH!
I forgot that this was going live at noon EST. Oh well was just able to get in without any issues and get 2 of the Tokyo Maters. I wonder how long they will have stock for. They had them for weeks last year if I remember correctly.
Looks like some of the other stuff sold out fast though.
I hope this Mater sticks around for atleast 3 more days. Being out of work because of a work related injury has me waiting on a stupid workers comp check before I will have the funds to get him.

AGREED, $8.50 for ground shipping, probably costs them less than $2. total MONEY GRAB and total BS.
yeah, since if you ordered two, shipping was still $8.40. Last year Matty sent me two caved in Rescue Maters. They better be packed good this time!

Finally, that was painful! got the order screen a couple times, kept going back to the “waiting room page” then kept giving me errors about SM deadlock, whatever that is!!! good grief!!!!

You know, we go through this every year. One would think that Matty would learn his lesson by now and get more servers set up just for this sort of thing. It’s called ‘Customer Service.’

Well Met I may try that! I called and of course they had no idea what I was talking about. I called the # on the Matty site which is the generic Mattel #. They directed me to call the Matty site directly and gave me another #. Guess what? That just goes to the fulfillment center and they of course had no idea what I was talking about. The guy also told me to call Matty directly and gave me the first # I called. Oh well, I tried to give Mattel my money but I guess they don’t want it.

First! Anyway, why are they using Toons for everything. From SDCC Exclusive to collector guides and carry cases, they’re everywere. I think they were made just to make more items for more money! Martin promised us RV’s, and this new only guy says maybe. This new designer also put Up on Oliver’s Trailer, instead of FN, and completly shifted to focusing on Toons. The 4 Tuners that light up would be cooler. Also, any results from last month’s Top 10 Poll?
