Coming this Christmas, a new Disney Store exclusive 20-pack for the toons lineup …
Some of the Toons you recognize and some are coming in the Mater Wrestling coming on July 30 to the Disney Channel or Disney XD. some of the new ones are Ice Screamer and Tormentor … That’s Heavy Metal Mater on the right.
It looks like Heavy Metal McQueen on the left, Dr. Upsloggen something-something … The UFO Dude and Paddy the Cement Mixer which looks like it’s the perfect scale to mix in with the Mattel ones … Especially since Paddy is not on the Mattel list …
And also another ginormous helicopter carrying case … Presumably including the three cars seen next to it …

any knowledge, if there will be separated sets for Heavy Metal Mater, UFM and Monster Truck Mater as Die Cast 1:43 released?
Because its kind of hard to get them here from germany, if anyone can procide me with a hint how to get them, it would be really nice.

As long as it has the cement mixer and the El Materdor cars, I’m not getting this. The 1:55 ones look more accurate. Also, why are Mia and Tia cardboards? Does that mean it’s a prototype?
(MET: Yes, when that was taken in early summer – Mia & Tia will be metal in the actual release, don’t worry … they look just as they should 🙂 ).

I love this set and will be getting it for sure. I certainly do not think it is junk. All complete diecast and well made. They might not have quite the amount of detail as mattel, but they are really nice. Great for kids who need a little more to hold on too as well.

Initially, I feel good about the combination pack. Simply because even if it takes until Christmas for them to arrive – we can buy it.
Not discounting that there is still 5 months ’til Christmas, plenty of time for the 1:55 scale vehicles and playsets to arrive and we can buy them too!
We have all the Toon and main-line 1:43 scale Disney Store vehicles released, David and I think they are way cool!
People would be going crazy for it if Mattel made the exact same thing.

Thank you everyone for all your feedback. Based on the negative response we will be cancelling this set after all. Please except (1) Slap Chop and (1) Sham-wow as our appreciation. We hope to make up for this by giving you all the cars you’ve been waiting for at KMart Day 5.

So will these be the plastic models or are they a diecast set, I just dont see any point making the cars out of plastic!

For anyone interested in this set I would advise to wait for the Disney’s stores annual buy 1 get one free sale. The sale should be right around Thanksgiving. For 40.00 to 50.00 this set would be a score.
Why oh why does Disney have to pollute the market with this junk? These cars are cheaply made and they just make purchasing the 1:55 Mattel Disney Cars more confusing, particularly as too many sellers (Disney Store included) fail to mention the scale or explain that the units are larger than the Mattel cars. I’m not sure what was a worse decision, to create these or to push out a trillion cars with lenticular eyes 😉
This Disney Store junk is by far worse than Lenticulars.
I have to agree, lenticulars are better made. But lenticulars are in my way. If they (and color changers) weren’t on the shelves, something else I need would be. Honestly, I don’t mind the color changers. These are better for my 2 year old son than the diecast cars.
By the way, the UFO dude’s name is Mator.

This appears to be a mock up where the actual cars have not been finalized. I like this set except where is the Bull- dozer for the El Matedor set. EVerything else appears to be coplete with the major caracters in the cartoons.

No thanks. I’s much rather see the “Final Lap” series come to completion (and be available in my area, thank you very much!) instead of this stuff.
This is as about exciting to me as one of those packages of play currency / plastic coins that you’d find in the drug store.
