Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Megasize-Deluxe CASE Q & Retail Case
To backtrack – CASE R has just arrived with Bessie on the Night Skyline card motif.
This is technically the THIRD Megasize-Deluxe “Night Skyline” Case to arrive.
The first was actually CASE Q but not particularly exciting …
But if you’re collecting every release on card, there you go. Apparently Marco is a variant as the helmet is slightly different. I have not seen one yet to verify 100% but I’m presuming it’s true.
And there was a special case that seems to have been available to the Big 3 – though I cannot confirm if TRU actually received any. I know the contents of the case is correct but I’m not positive if the assortment of each is accurate but I believe so. If anyone has more-better info, leave your comments below.

Since other than Bessie, it’ll be pretty hard to tell exactly if you are seeing the remnants of CASE R or possibly CASE Q since you are also unlikely to see Frank’s or Elvis’ hanging on the pegs.

Also, KMART Day coming up and would easily guess that these can be added to the mix… RPM, Gasprin, Sputter Stop, and Fiber Fuel. Kinda dissapointed but we’re dealing with Mattel. At least I’ll finally get Sputter Stop…

I when today at target, TRUS and WM, nothing new…..only van whitout stickers…
Saw Case Q yesterday at Target. Did not look at the Marcos at all since I have him already. Guess now I should have looked if its a variant. The case was just pegged as there were 2 Marcos, 2 TJs etc. Remnants of the retailer case as well?
Was hoping for case R.
I think you can relax. If the Marco I picked up at Wal-Mart tonight is anything to go by, there is no variant. The only difference I can see is that the clear ‘carrier’ film for the decals is more prominent on the older version and the wings appear to have been painted. Minor manufacturing differences. Otherwise, it looks exactly the same.
All Bessie’s are gone at my local Smyth’s (Sligo, Ireland) They suddenly cleared a big area of shelving and put in the Deluxe stuff. Still a few Frank, Elvis and Sven there and lots and lots of Marco. They also got lots of Octane Gain, Mack and Gray tractor units which are warming those pegs nicely. Sidewall Shine Hauler was sitting there during the week as I checked the new stuff, when I think how I wanted that truck so badly and now it sits there all lonely and unwanted! I have given up chasing these things and now just pick them up when I see them. I am falling over Chase cars as people here don’t realise they are “special”. Still cool to find Chase DJ just sitting there waiting for me!
I got Frank from Target ,stockton CA…3 days ago and they have some Fred, Mc Queen with the shovel and dexter hoover with green flag today..
Case Q showed up today at Target in Missoula MT today
Case N also had the night time wave 5 background. It had Richard Clayton Kensington in it. Maybe we can see Marco and other interesting Megasize, I mean, Deluxe cars soon. I also remember there was supposed to be a special “Chase” Marco w/ a striped helmet. Maybe this is it? I want to know.
We have that case already here in Austria. Already a couple of months. A lot of Marco’s, Sven, Barneys, Elvis i saw it and one day after was gone. Though i haven’t see Frank (iwe have it already but i always check on them), all Semi’s and i din’d even knew that TJ was also in those cases. Haven’t saw one.

We had Case Q in the UK, the Marco’s proved to be a huge peg warmer, my local Tesco had 7 today! so no more megasize till they shift, but that better then the other Tesco near me that has 6 Octane Gain Semi’s can’t see them selling on half price clearance!
hey, do you live in Grimsby?? because thats sort of the same situation the TESCO’s hear are. i managed to find bessie, elvis and TJ, but since then, its just been Marco’s and octangain semis, along with a few svens.

Good to see Elvis hasn’t quite left the building but only one in a case? Seems this would be an easy seller for retailers.

Yeah I am very confused then or I might have just missed Bessie. As I did find at two different Targets last week or so (2) TJs but the other contents seemed to be Hicks Semi and LS McQueen. It is possible that I missed out on Bessie, but I don’t remember seeing Sven.
I think you came across one of the “Retail Only” cases, which are re-packed with already released pieces. I do not believe that any of the “Retail Only” cases will have any new, previously unreleased content.
