Yep, the board game …
Sadly, it won’t be a philosophical musing about life, liberty and the pursuit of wisdom during a heated Battleship gamesmanship between Stephen Hawking and Adrianna Lima … with the climatic ending 2 hours and 42 minutes later …
(ELECTRONIC VOICE) “You sank my battleship!”
Instead, the story is apparently, ” … (the) Navy against some kind of alien armada.”
(apparently – it’s “loosely based” on the board game – O RLY?)
Well, I guess that’s better than the Chutes & Ladders movie involving an alien armada who take over a giant mechanical rodent on a children’s playground …oh wait, that’s my script I’m pitching – I’ve said too much.
It’s a Hasbro property so no Battleship’s with Mater Teeth …

The “today” version will have son and dad texting each other their moves. The wife is in the kitchen throwing away the empty pizza box delivered from Pizza Hut, and the little girl has run away from home.
yea and the Sequel will be Texting Battleship Spy Kids #8… the ol over the shoulder notes to Mom
maybe mattel can consider making a SDCC version of battleship for Cars, since there’s already Marco fighter jet
btw the battleship figure should be big enough to carry the haulers, dont you think so?
Mattel could beat them to the punch AND make more money by convincing Pixar to make 3 min Mater Tall Tales about it!
Personally I like the way the women are in the kitchen where they belong.

Just wait until the dishes are over, and they’ll break out the board game “Kitchen Floor.”
Layed out on a grid where you set up little objects or stains on the simulated tile floor of the game board, and try to clean your floor before the other.

My Dad and brother played this game for hours on end. I think they did it with paper and pencils. No board game.
We bought a version of Battleship in that same packaging at a garage sale maybe 20 years ago, and would break it out to play every other time during the early years.
Isn’t that plot more like Battleship vs Space Invaders? You know, the kind that never break formation, and slowly drop down and reverse direction?
