“He has 293 of them. About 5 of them are just plastic toys. The rest are Mattel or from Disney. I don’t know who has the fever for the Cars more, he or I. I stop at every Target, Walmart, Toys R Us & Kohls that I pass a least once a week. All of our friends and family are in on it as well. I’m always getting calls from them if there in a store asking if my son has a particular car or not. Thanks, From avid Take5adayers in Denton Texas!”

Yes the shelves are custom built by me. I can continue to add additional shelf sections as his collection grows. The best part is a groove that I have routed out where the front tires sit to keep the cars from rolling off. My son looks for new cars everywhere he goes. He can’t wait for CARS2! He does play with the cars and knows there names and exactly where they go back on the shelf. Yes the bulldozer is the plastic one.

That’s my grandson. He is a special kid. He knows every car by name. He calls me and tells to keep my eyes peeled for this new one coming out. So I do..Super intelligent but also a sweet young man. He is that neat.

Looks like #2 pine and a router or dado cuts for the vertical boards.
3ft lengths??? or close to it, pine boards that slide right in.
maybe even just flush mounted with measured out drilled holes.
Buy the boards, screws and shipping and I can make what ever you need.
Stain and finishes extra.

Of the 5 plastic items, I am betting that is one of them. Comes with El Materdor set, who is also seen bottom left.
