Easter Is Over – All Bets & Niceties Are Off …
“… Seven women ended up in a brawl in the Easter basket aisle Saturday evening.
Candy eggs, rabbits and Peeps flew through the air in an unlikely Easter exchange.
Salisbury Police responded to the Walmart at 323 Arlington St. around 7 p.m. Saturday.
The five officers separated the women into two groups — with each claiming the other group started the fight.
Unable to figure out who initiated the brawl, officers decided to charge all of those involved in the incident with public affray.”
I was not aware of the citation of “affray,” which apparently means “actual disturbance of the peace for causing terror to the lieges”
Lieges meaning people which is much cooler way of saying people – we should all try and work the words affray and liege into a sentence today 🙂 So, even though lieges act like crazy peeps, we still can learn something important – 50% clearance is only worth a booking if it’s a CARS exclusive … I think that’s the lesson, right?
Salisbury, North Carolina – Salisbury Post.
Only twenty five miles from me and I missed it. 🙂
The affray began when my wife discovered me in the toy section searching through the throngs of peg warmers in search of a hidden jewel to share with the lieges of collectors.
Agreed, I would never engage in an affray for Easter candy. I reserve my affraying for Cars, particularly with fleabay lieges.
(MET: Nice! )
I just wish “COPS” had been there for the aftermath!
I hope the security camera footage winds up on YouTube, too.
