Correct Rescue Squad Trooper on left.
Rescue Squad Trooper on right wearing Axel Accelerator “grill.”
Axel with HIS grill & headlamps on left while Rescue Squad Trooper has his own lights and grill motif.
(technically, both are just tampo decals but you knew that) 🙂

we found both at wm last night.
Checked my Kmart today — all 6 had the Axle grille. The way things are sounding, the correct variant is the rare one.
My Trooper has an Axle grill. Definately not opening him.
Looks like to me it’s a case thing, I have a total of 9 of them, that I have yet to ship out to fellow collectors, and I actually know which ones came from B cases and which came from A. All my A case ones have the grid, and all the B case ones have the horizontial lines. Just my observation.
I agree, it appears (at least in the US) that Case A contain the Variant with the Axle grille and Case B contain the correct ‘Horizontal’ grille.
Found both of mine here in Toronto… All with Axle’s grill…
I will have to scout out the TRU near U tomorrow!!!
None have appeared in Walmart yet..
well, i strike again, not only did i have the incorrect version or error, but it waw a double error, had no eyes, and i traded it away, oh well at least it went to a stand up take 5er..
Not only that, but it has an upside down AND backwards “Rescue Squad Trooper” gold tampo, the light bar lights up with real spinning lamps, the trunk is loaded with tiny weapons, and there is a little half-man half-fly in the driver’s seat screaming the barely audible phrase “Help Me! Help Me! Help Me!” over and over again.
sounds like bomb squad trooper, better look him up before he blows up the new movie.

Did any one find the error one with the upside down gold tampo “Rescue Squad Trooper”?
My two have the grid grille as well. Just like Axle A. Now need correct one!

I dont think its an error – that would mean accidental – I call it “using leftover parts we found in the back”
Some of the Trooper vehicles get damaged in the line of duty, so they repair them with whatever parts are available, even going so far as to STEAL grills from the Highway Patrol vehicles when they’re parked at the Donut Shops!

Definitely a variant! Every one I have, including Tyler’s has the Axel grill on it. So it looks like we still need the correct one, which is apparently less common!
The ones I saw at my disney store also had the Axle grill.

Picked up Rescue Squad Axel at Walmart today. He has the grid grill.
I have the error one too. Now I have to find the normal one.
