Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Leak Less Crew Chief Team Spotlight
It’s been a few heady days for Team Leak Less …
Two major releases …
The Team Leak Less Set which contains the Leak Less hauler, Stacy Pitty (now just called Leak Less Pitty) and variant release Leak Less (The greenish yellow version – originally Leak Less is yellow – notice the hauler & drawing of Leak Less are yellow while Stacy Pitty & the included racer are greenish yellow. TOPIC COVERED HERE a while back).
And of course appearing as a companion box set, the Team Leak Less Crew Set. Nice.
Of course, the Leak Less Crew-Team was mostly complete to begin with … since the Leak Less Crew Chief has been out a while …
And Stacy/Leak Less Pitty has been released as part of a three pack and as a single, most completists have at least two Stacy-Leak Less Pitty’s.
But the FAT Leak Less Pitty and the WIDE Leak Less Pitty are in its first release …
The Leak Less tool chest and the wide tires were released with Stacy on a single CARD.
Note, the wide tires (2) in the new “Crew” Box Set do NOT have the words Lightyear Tires on them (the ones included with the single card Stacy-Leak Less Pitty does). The toolchest is exactly the same as the previous release and this Stacy-Leak Less THIN Pitty is pretty eaxctly the same as the previous releases of Stacy-Leak Less THIN Pitty.
BTW, there seems to be a variant release with just the FAT Pitty’s …
I do not know if there are variant boxes with only THIN Pitty’s or only WIDE Pitty’s … send pics if you spot them. 🙂
So, your Leak Less Team Photo should look something like this …
On the left is 2006 Original yellow Leak Less … the Box Set Crew Chief pretty looks identical to the 3-pack Crew Chief so the Leak Less Crew Box Set really only features 2 new CARS (THIN Pitty, WIDE Pitty) and the unmarked tirestack as different from the previous releases.

also, went car hunting today, argos had some out as impulse buys near theorder tills (some lenticulars and chase farrari, nothing special, and the old timey green car, edwin cranks is it?)
I think I will stick with the three pack of Stacy, Earl, and Leakless.
I do not like the ‘Piston Cup Nights’ packaging .. the flashbulb background is nice, but it just seems dull ….. I much prefer the brighter, daytime Race O Rama packaging… but of course, as any good marketer knows, it is different, looks new, and will catch your eye quicker ……..

I am looking forward to getting the Team Crew set… I decided not to get the horizontal team 3 pack, and am not going to get the Team set with the Hauler, Racer, and pitty…
I can’t afford to collect them all anymore…
