Yea, Bessie has kind of a hitch but as of now, no McQueen has a tow ball.
It does look like they are switching over to the Deluxe designation as it makes sense and is in theory, the least confusing moniker as its first name for this line – OVERSIZE might imply to some it was a larger scale, and while MEGASIZE (the second lineup name) was more nebulous – some CARS were clearly not really MEGASIZE unless you were comparing all of them to CHUKI so DELUXE does seem more appropriate since it means nearly nothing but sounds like something – perfect marketing. 🙂

i know this is an old post but here in topeka we havent seen any tj’s or bessie’s..i’ve been wanting both but cant find them anywhere except ebay..
Do I remember reading about the Deluxe Size Vendor coming soon? WIth Bessie out, is he short to follow?

Terrible assortment. I would have bought another Kensington or Frank but not those.
what until everyone sees all the repacked case assortments, i don’t know if retail will ever get out from under the mother ship dumping!!
Can they be any worse than the old Walmart repack cases with just Al Oft’s?
This is the worst case distribution in my opinion…like we need more TJ, L.S.McQ and Sven on the pegs!! Grrrrrrrr…
Yeah…me too…lots of TJs, Marcos, Svens, Elvi (sp?), and LSMs, but no Bessie…’sniffle’
looks great, but Bessies, grime is spread too evenly…looks like wall paper…time to get out the airbrush!

this is weird … all I saw on the pegs at Wally World were Bessie’s and Marco’s … I assumed they were in the same case … guess not..

I wonder if this case assortment is wrong if you saw Marco. Marco has not been out since Race O Rama cardback I am pretty sure.

Clarify: What I mean is that the Bessie case is labeled Case Q on Children’s Toy closet, not R.
COOL!! Looks much better than the prototypes. Nice case assortment. Now if Disney Store will do one as nice as Disney Store Frank. 😉

Wow was it that long ago that we learned about Bessie. I have just recently been seeing the new cardback design and Mega/Deluxe TJ around so there is hope that we will see this soon.
I got 2 from a friend in the UK last week… very nice… looks great in the display case.
Bessie, Frank, and Elvis were the mega/deluxe items that I most wanted to add to my collection… as a previous poster mentioned, none of them are semis…
I liked the case assortments where there were 3 of a new item in the case… I’d split the case price with 2 friends – we’d each get one new Car and one pegwarmer.
What? No hauler cabs in this case? What is Mattel thinking?

I have a plastic Bessie & McQueen on my display. Can’t wait to replace them with the diecast versions.
