Just stopped by my local KMart. They have pegs labeled for Cars Toons but they are empty. I was told they wouldn’t be filled until the end of September…
Wonder if these are the $5 cars walmart has a spot for now.
It is confusing with the new reset, something called an oversized car with a $1 price tag and something on the shelf for $5.
NO items just space for them.
Next step, you ask? Umm, that would be for Mattel to bill me and ship my order! 😛 Of course, that might be difficult since nobody really seems to know what the assortments are… 🙁
I wonder if anyone in marketing is reading this stuff?

The ability to read indicates some modicum of intelligence. Unfortunately intelligence and mattel marketing in the same sentence is an oxymoron. Apparently so I am told the only way to communicate with the mattel marketing people is in person and using a sledgehammer as a communciation aid.

MET, I had a surprise when I stopped at one of our more distant WM stores on Tuesday. The store is in mid-reset, so there were a lot of empty spaces in every toy line.
As I scanned the shelves to the left of the CARS offerings, what do my eyes lock on but…..yes……..A WALLY HAULER, MIB!!!
Needless to say, I made my getaway(along with a 1:24 ’69 Camaro I’d been searing for) and off to the register we all went!
Are you making a Burnt Camaro, since you have been searing for it??

Do all cars say Imported by Mattel Canada? I know lots of mine do, I never have looked all that closely. I was just wondering if they all said that. Is that their distribution center or something?

Unrelated to this post, BUT I just got an email last night from MattyCollector last night, telling me that TriKlops & Batman were going on sale on 8/17. No mention of McQueen of course. And not to mention this was a day late – sent on Tuesday to tell me about an event that happened the day before??? Come on!
I got the same email and thought the same thing about McQueen. Matty; punch him in his big stupid head!

Me three…….my problem with the “delayed” announcement is that I could have included items from the Batman line that were not available when I looked at them MONDAY when I was ordering my 1:24 Lightning. A day or two later, the ADD TO CART is there. A little better advance warning WOOD(PirateDad-ese) would have been nice.

In a sense, yes we do, but when you pay $5 for a mainline single, and $7 for a Cars Toon single, you don’t.
Let’s just say at the Cars Toon singles are the same price.

no retailers in my area have put out anything new yet. i saw them working on the reset at the target near me but they havn’t put anything new out. nor walmart, or the brand new huge tru that opened a few monthes ago. lenticulars have been clogging all the peg space all summer.

PD has been hijacking TRU trucks and rerouting them to Canada! He’s trying to increase his booty!

Do we know what the retail price should be for these?
I am pretty sure that the empty pegs in Kmart were 4.50 for the singles, but I will check again and update if that was inaccurate
It was 4.49 I just checked– and megasize almost 8 dollars wow
It seems like with the larger vehicles, they are raising the price about $1 a year. The “bachelor pad” Mack is now $17.99 and when I bought it in 2006, it was $11.99.
I would like a few sets in Indiana before the rest of them go to Perth, Australia!
I’m looking forward to all of these but the trooper.
The ‘next step’ is transporting all of these to Perth, Australia. From there I will ensure proper distribution.
