The CARS are ‘articulated’ – no idea what that means …
It does say in tiny print that Flo’s V8 Cafe is 4.5″ across and 3.5″ tall so it sounds about the right scale for the 1:55 Christmas CARS with real rolling wheels coming soon … I’m presuming the CARS are not attached to the buildings?
For some odd reason, they are NOT listed yet on the Hawthorne Village website.

TarHeel Bill, I looked back through all of my Parade magazines and they have no ad for this item. I called the place after seaching in vain on the website and both people I talked to couldn’t find them and had no idea what i was talking about. She did say if I could get the part number from the ad they would look it up. I cannot read it from the picture you supplied. Do you know it? That would help the dozen or so people who have already posted here and at CARSTHETOYS.com and want to purchase. Please don’t keep this one for yourself.

The original ad was in the Parade section that comes out weekly in many of the Sunday newspapers. With Hawthorne it is usually a series, in this case three parts, with each part billed in three payments. The series can be cancelled anytime and they usually offer a 100% money back guarantee which I have never had to take them up on. They make great quality collectibles…no fold out cardboard, etc. 🙂
We have the Pooh Christmas Village ones that Disney offered a few years ago. These will make a nice addition to them. 😀
(MET: Is it in scale? Will Pooh be more of a marauding Godzilla at radiator Springs? 🙂 ).

Yeah, $150 for all three. $50 for just Flo’s and McQueen. But if I had one, I would want all three. So that is where I got the $150. Cute, but I don’t have enough in my budget for those 🙁

I am going to do Lorri style this year too. Never got around to it last year, but did buy little miniature lighted bushes and faux snow.

What exactly is this?Is it like A cardboard town or are these like the playsets available?In Belgium whe have A 2monthly magazine which had every building from the town in cardboard in it!Each mag had A new building take em out,fold them and your done!Is this simular?Cars look great!

Have ordered in the past with great enjoyment… unfortunately last year they offered a Rudolph village set from the Christmas Classics which never shipped out and I kept getting notices pushing back the release date…
By this past March I gave up and cancelled it…
Hope this does not happen to the Cars set…
Interesting, I really wanted that Rudolph set and was bummed that I never ordered it. I feel a little better about that now.
