Mia & Tia compared to Mia & Tia from SDCC?
DIFFERENT.
SDCC Mia & Tia on left. Much more luminescent paint – and maybe 2-3 more coats of paint. Mouth has painted tongue and rubber tires.
Rescue Squad Box Mia & Tia – not as luminescent, still nice – less pronounced paint in mouth area.
So, you know what’s coming next – collect ’em all. 🙂
As for the other box set …
As of now, there is NO other Doc Mater release other than this one with the mask down.
That could change later down the line …
This box set contains the only way to obtain Doc Mater & Nurse Mia & Tia … They will NOT be released as megasize or singles.*
* This could change around Christmas time with some new configurations as of yet unannounced but for now …
Burnt Lightning McQueen will be available as a single …
Until the single version comes out, we cannot be certain that the Box Set Burnt Lightning McQueen is the same as single Burnt Lightning McQueen but my feeling is that any deviation we have seen from the prototype to prototype is just a natural variation in production of re-producing the “burned” effect … and there is only one version but hopefully we’ll get an answer soon.
Meanwhile, collect ’em all to be safe 🙂
These are leaving the warehouses and should arrive at retailers and resellers by next week.

So has anyone (outside of Malaysia) seen the Dr. Mater 4 pack?
(MET: Are you counting the SF Bay Area?)
I can guarantee that single version of Burnt MQ does not have the same expression as the one in the 4-pack.
Is this mater not going to be released with the mask pulled over his face?
(MET: There is a diecast proto so there might be another megasize release later – such as with El materdor since therea re fewer CARS in that lineup?)
I saw the Greater Mater stunt set at TRU in Newington, NH on Thursday.
Saw it in nashua too. Passed…no room for playsets or buildings……..

I want them all! I haven’t seen any Rescue Squad anything in person yet.
Keep watching TRU for Rescue Squad Mater, Ambulance, and Copter. Both of our nearest stores got them the same day, about 10 days ago.
Does anyone know if the cars in the mater the greater stunt set are plastic or diecast???

Mater himself is plastic, and any compatible CARS would have to be plastic as well.

Now I’m picturing a guy sitting outside the back door of the Mattel factory in China, on a Wi-Fi laptop linked to Ebay. A worker brings out the latest item, paint barely dry, the guy outside slips him some money, and back to the computer to get it up for sale.
😆 I bet there is paint ALL OVER HIS KEYS . . . that could be how they CATCH HIM . . . where is Scooby Doo and those meddling kids when you need them!!

Don’t worry PD. You got friends in all the right places. I for one will pick up what you need for cost. So it really dosen’t matter what comes to Canada. The shipping isn’t expensive either. It only cost me 4 dollars for 2 cars last time. The gas to go to the store would probably cost more. So no more complaints about what Canada dosen’t get as it will not affect you. I’ll even pick 2 up of everything new you want, so you can trade one too. But someday John is going to want the custom pirate piston cup racer. :). Ttys buddy. Aye aye Captain.

You are right! My single RS Mater has a determined look on his face – not surprise. Is the box set the actually release of the 4 pack?? I was just about to trade off my RS Mater & Heli since I know I will be buying this 4 pack.. but if they are different… UGH! 🙂
For me personally I wouldn’t buy the 4 pack with Dalmations Mia and Tia. As I already have the chopper and 2 SDCC sets, so I don’t see any reason to buy this one. However I will definetely be getting the other 4 pack with Doctor Mater. There I am getting plenty of new stuff. However for the people that didn’t get a SDCC than both sets are great.

RSM is a double-edged sword after getting the SDCC set and the singles already on the pegs. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, do I “collect them all”?
