It will come bundled with Mater Tall Tales Rescue Squad Mater …
This cover art is the 2006 cover art – what’s included in this CARS DVD? Unknown? 3rd Anniversary DVD, presumably – look for it no earlier than November.
Cost?
Unknown but my guess is list is around $20?
It’s most likely going to be an exclusive … probably either Walmart or Best Buy or maybe even both. If that’s the case, they will get slightly different versions …
And unknown what the production run will be or if it’s even very limited … but Merry Christmas to yourself …

Hmmm, hopefully it will also come to Europe, but i’am affraid its not.
Not really diggin the gold…kinda ugly.
I like it, just don’t get it. Why not just stick to the characters in tehe movie? Or atleast the Mater Cartoon characters.
maybe there is something on the dvd with a gold McQueen. like a new mater tall tale.
I’m hoping for a Cars Toons DVD, considering I finally bought CARS on Blu-Ray a few days ago…been upgrading my PIXAR films.
Maybe I shouldn’t be upset the kids wrecked the non-blueray cars dvd we use for roadtrips. We can now replace it. Grandparents need a copy too.

Cruisin is my favorite McQueen version, for sheer beauty of its finish.
Smooth deep red paint. If the paint on gold Cruisin is as nice this will be a keeper. Blu ray Mcqueen has a great color but the finish quality ie, smoothness is not as nice as Cruisin.
But nothing compares to Red Ransburg RS Mater.. Got mine yesterday. It gleems and glows. Martin, that is your masterpiece.
If you ask me i think that this dvd will have a filler short in the movie. Its going to have a little added bonus footage that links Cars to Cars2. Just my two cents on things…will see if it really happens!!

I am just hoping that they surprise us with a Christmas DVD, including all the Mater’s Tall Tales so far AND a NEW Christmas Tale!
That would be great. At least the DVD won’t be totally useless, and I can keep multiple copies at the parents and in-laws.
“Mater Saves Christmas” The reinder have worked too many hours that week, putting them over 40 hours each, and Santa can’t afford overtime with the poor economy.
Mater steps in, says “I’ll do it!”, and “HOOKS” up to Santas Sleigh….and off they go.
Now we just have to figure out how Lightning gets worked into the story after he says to Mater “That never happened!”
“Sure it did! Don’t you remember? You was there too!”
Perfect, we have a script, and the diecast….Who is gonna animate it for us??
Come on now….think…when Lightning jumps in he would be in front of Mater pulling the sleigh….Lightning can totally pull off the perfect Rudolph!!!!

Does anyone know if John Lasseter can animate as well as he writes? I’ve got the storyline started, but as PirateDad said, we need an animator.
Mr. Lasseter is a first-class animator himself, in addition to a stellar writer and director!
