Of course, these are all re-releases but a nice starter set as even some like RPM – while technically has been around forever – he is not necessarily easy to find …

My plan is to wait til these are all clearanced at Tragic ..er Target…
like I did for that other Tragic box with 8 cars. All box sets go to clearance, dag nab it.
I hope they come in a clear display setup like the previous Target exclusives. I will buy them all for the simple beauty of displaying them in package.
I’ll most likely buy these… especially to get Rev n Go! What a cool car! Anyway… looking forward to these coming out even though it’ll cost us some dinero!

Martin – you and your team do a great job with the design… if only the marketing and sales department were up to the occasion.
So, is red paint just way cheaper than every other color, or is Mattel repackaging the McQueens that have been on the shelves forever (in my dreams)? Why, why, why must this be such a pain? I probably will resist these as I haven’t bought Re-volting yet because of this same situation. Frustrating!!!!!
Red paint is the most expensive of the basic colors

At least some new Racers are coming your way. Again, not my call.
However, just yesterday one of my Engineers showed me first shots, no deco, on the Christmas Special and Sarge’s Boot Camp four pack and they are cool/must have in a diorama packout.
Mainline I believe, not exclusive. Maybe I’ll send Met some pics? New product is coming, please don’t buy stolen merch. Not worth it 🙁

I don’t mind the extra cars even Lightning. My son is always looking for a “shiny” Lightning to race or go in Mack. I just wish that instead of Lightning in every pack maybe Lightning in one and chick in another, and the king in yet another, that way you can spread around the doubles.
Just a thought, keep the new ones coming.

Those of you mentioning KMart Day III Cars should remember that those will most likely have rubber tires while these 4-Packs and Launchers will not.
I sure hope Rev-N-Go comes out on a Pit Race-Off Launcher and not a Lightyear Launcher. I do not think we will be collecting the Lightyear Launchers unless absolutely necessary to complete the collection.
By the time the holidays get here, I can’t see a reason why anyone would need to buy these, even without K-Mart days.

That’s for sure. Yet my stock doesn’t seem to be going up much at all. Maybe the constant barrage of L.M.’s isn’t working as well as they had hoped. If you’re going to package a L.M. in EVERY 4 pack, then at least change up which one you’re adding. Put finish line in one, tongue in one and reg. L.M. in the other. But, selling #3 as is with L.M., RPM, The King & Trunk Fresh is SAD. Each one EXTREMELY easy to get. This is a total MONEY GRAB. Enough is enough Mattel, really. Start putting out fresh assortments. Is this going to be the way WM can sell Non-Lenticular? I think your sales are really going to suffer this summer. W.M. is totally backed up with Lenticulars and as far as I can tell, Target has s l o w e d way down on clearing anything off the pegs. And since we have quite a wait for Cars 2, I would imagine A LOT of non-collectors will stop spending money as this brand fades from the front lines. Kids and parents alike are going to get tired of seeing the same old items hanging on the pegs. Pirate Dad even mentioned in an earlier post that his son ran off to a different toy section when they were out shopping. That’s exactly what happens when you don’t keep the interest up. Sure, there’s KMart days and SDCC and blah, blah, blah, but that’s NOT going to keep a kid interested, that’s going to keep the collector interested. Might as well stop selling these things retail and start doing web based sales only. What’s the point, Mattel is FAR from satisfying the retail market anyway, why not just move onto collector status and call it good.

I am sure when these come out we will start seeing a bunch repackaged with King or Chick etc and back on the shelves. Not a bad set though for those that do not have a lot of the racers.

I’m confused too. I have a Vitoline (from the launcher) and it does not have a grill. Yet the photo of the Vitoline launcher from this site has a grill. Which one is correct?
It’s never had a grille. The image on the launcher was a pre release photo, possibly a photoshopped image.
