Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Kroger Multi-Verse Pegs

“Ethan W.” sends u an amazing pic. He claims it’s from a Kroger in 2022 but I think he’s in a multi-verse where CARS are a plenty on the pegs (along with every other toy line). Holy snickey!

Even Deluxe!

Someone have found any Deluxe 2022 at any store other than Kroger? I am wondering how many Mattel are producing them? I have not seen any Deluxe anywhere in US for over the last 2 years!

Yeah, these pics are from my local Fred Meyers. It’s really frustrating becuase they have all these great CARS, but I really don’t want to pay $5.99 for singles, $8.99 for Deluxes and $10.99 for 2-packs (I know, right?).

Well, I would say jump on what ever to can find… Cars die cast are getting harder and harder to find. Distribution is erratic and fewer stores are selling them, also when Ebay sellers will receive a tax form for 2022 sales over $600 (before it was $20,000) they will or stop selling or will increase their price drastically next year to cover the taxables gains. Most of Ebay sellers are not aware of that huge selling rule change. It is only just making “Collect them all” a bit more difficult… again!

I agree with quercy. You are right, that is a significant amount more than Walmart or Target but still better than buying on eBay. As a general rule Cars pricing on eBay begins at 2x retail and goes up from there. Plus, if that store is one you shop at anyway it helps to reduce your expense in searching for them when you factor in fuel and time as you would already be there. So they are higher priced but when you consider availability and location I would consider it a win. Another thought is that you wouldn’t need to have that store be your only source-if they have something you haven’t been able to find then you could pick it up there.

One more thing you can do… Keep your receipt and you have 90 days to find it cheaper at Target or Walmart then just return the Kroger one.

With the fuel increase I am no longer chasing like before so yes grab what ever you can find… 🙂

My Kroger is far far away to look like this… 🙁

My Fred Meyer stores (owned by Kroger) all look like this. Of course, they are $1 to $4 more than everywhere else, except for the basic Hot Wheels.

Jealous! The Matchbox display is also very healthy!
