While the “new” 2-pack of 2022 is simply listed as Lightning McQueen & Mater, Mater has a large tow hook that is finally cab;e of actually towing Lightning like a real tow truck.

Lightning McQueen has a notch in the back underneath so he’s “towable.”

But as others have pointed out, he rightly should be called “Road Repair Lightning McQueen.” This version has the scrubbed out Lightning logo on the left side but unlike the first release of “Road Repair LM,”, he has the eyelid line, a different mouth expression, different eye position and slightly different “blotch.”  So Version 2 …

Why should be be rightly called “Road Repair LM?” Because there is also a CARS 1 release with Race Official Tom that has the notch but NOT the “blotch” lightning bolt covered … so yep, the same but different …
