That endcap would make a nice display for home, but I can never get the retailers to give me the displays when they take them down.
Yeah, I checked w/ area TRU as to the availability of their incredible overhead 24 foot long graphics package, because I thought it’d be the ultimate addition to our growing “Cars Cave” basement.
Unfortunately, because some people would hawk these items on ebay, the items are supposedly sent back to DC or destroyed, so as not to be profited upon! I think they should sell them-I’d offer up $100 for the TRU package! It’d be worth every penny to see my son’s face if he walked into the cave and saw that!
(MET: If I had to guess, I would guess it comes down around the 21st – when the next TRANSFORMERS is in theaters … once it’s down, unless it’s some super strict manager, they just let an employee take it … so look for an employee who might want some extra cash. 🙂 good luck! Or you can cheat and just sharpie your name on the back and write – CALL CUSTOMER and your contact info – you could get lucky if someone thinks someone in the stre promised it to you. Good luck! 🙂 ).
I like your terminology of “dump” rather than something like “drop off.” Mattel better hope the movie jump starts interest in the toys. The pegs and displays in my area do not have much movement. If Mattel does not redesign the packaging that’s a big mistake. There is nothing on the packaging to describe anything about the character cars. Trying to save a buck?
I seriously doubt the appeal of some of those cars. How many non-collectors will buy “Natalie Certain”?

Certainly not ! 🙂 However, today at Target I witness a little girl requesting her mom the yellow car… I saw Cruz Ramirez Dinoco at the end cap, so I went there to take it and give it the mom telling her it is probably the one she is looking for… Well, NO, the girl want the full yellow Cruz :-)))
