Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 3: Piston Cup Racers CARS 1 to CARS 3 Visual Checklist
Some Piston Cup racers have survived from CARS 1 to the beginning of CARS 3 … where they mostly get replaced by the next gen racers … of course, some racers got retired/replaced from the end of CARS to not making it to CARS 3.
Many sponsors return plus a few ones. This checklist ONLY covers the sponsors who has drivers at the start of CARS 3.
And yes, all the Piston Cup racers have been re-designed for the start of Piston Cup racing in CARS 3 (just as NASCAR did a few years back). So, yes, all the Piston Cup racers in the column CARS 3 might look vaguely like the design of CARS 1 but they are all different … Lightning, of course just sports new tampo decals.
This list is really only accurate for the diecasts out or announced … so there might be blanks to fill in later.
Collect them all!

It IS a great chart. And of course as time goes by, new racers are revealed.
For example, #00 Jimmy Cables sponsored by Intersection and Lane Locke sponsored by SynerG. Do you plan to add these (and any other new releases) to the list?
Also, I have a question that you will want to take time to consider; We know that Blinkr’s Next-gen racer is Ryan “Inside” Laney. But in the movie, he replaced #21 Speedy Comet. Considering that there *currently* is no die-cast for Speedy, is it a reasonable idea to label the empty box with his name, just for reference/educational purposes?

Awesome chart. Could you do this for all of the non Piston Cup releases. It would be very helpful.
